For Medora Campground: Beware!!! They are building more sites and construction began at 6am!!!! Stayed before and loved it. But disappointed this time.

For Medora Campground: Stayed here one night in 40’ MH to do the Medora Musical and TRNP. Would have stayed longer but sites were not available. Impressively large and well run city campground. Gravel road with lots of red dirt, gravel sites quite close together, patch of grass between sites. Sites so close we had to move the adjacent picnic table to fit into ours. Some sites have large trees and shade. The Musical is fun and worth a night’s entertainment. Go out to TRNP at dawn to see the wildlife, well worth it.

For Medora Campground: The site we were at was extremely short & narrow. Very close to the other campers. It was close though to the National Park.

For Medora Campground: The campground is a good overnight spot if you are looking for a place to stay in the area with amenities. However the sites are narrow and close together. Also I was in a shaded site but ended up with a light coating of sap over night! The Medora Musical is worth seeing and the Pitchfork Steak dinner was great. The town is a cute historical place to walk thru. There is a shuttle from the campground to the Musical, for a cost of $5/person round trip. Only 13 seats so be sure to make reservations. There is a large lot at the Musical grounds if you prefer to drive yourself. Not a far walk, less than a mile, but dangerous at night after the show with no lights along it.

For Medora Campground: We stayed at the Medora Campground in May and found the grounds to be clean and the shower/ restrooms nice. The pool and other amenities were not open for the season. The sites are close together, gravel, and level. The are numerous large cottonwoods for shade. It was green this time of year but I’m sure it could be dusty by mid summer. The campground is close to the national park, the Chateau DeMores, and the Medora Musical. There is a shuttle service up to the Musical.

For Medora Campground: Upon arriving at this campground I was so disappointed. After we went back to the office and they let us move to a different site that did improve things. The sites on the back side of the campground are extremely narrow and short. We were barely able to put our slide out and forget the awning. Moved us to site 120 and we had plenty of space for our 27 ft trailer. Bathrooms were ok but not great. One night our travel companions were disturbed into the night by a late night party right next to them. The rest of the time we found it to be very quiet and people friendly. The campground was pretty full on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights we were there. The biggest issue with this campground is all the dust! It was exceptionally warm and dry so I kept the ac on to limited opening the windows because of the dust. It literally covers everything. The majority of it is red dirt and gravel. There is one good thing about it and that’s the proximity to Medora and TRNP. Full hookups and $39 per night. If I were to stay in the are again I would go to Juniper campground in the north unit if TRNP. Although no hookups the scenery is worth going to Juniper.

For Medora Campground: First off Medora is beautiful. A one of a kind place. Go see the show too, worth it. Campground is nothing special. Maybe try the other one in the town. Bathrooms were clean though. Spending the 4th their was a blast.
