For Danforth Bay Camping Resort: Nice but wayyyyy overpriced. Decent campground with multiple pools Spoke with people who have stayed here many years and they say management has changed and now too many rules ( they made us all park at the entrance and wait until precisely 1 pm at check in time so then the mad rush began) and too little for the very high prices now charged. Paid almost $100 a night and got a site in a parking lot next to the boat storage area- not at all eye pleasing. Most expensive site we paid for after traveling from Seattle. Staff grumpy and not helpful. Must be better in this area of NH.

For Danforth Bay Camping Resort: I'm kind of up and down on this place. My wife and I took our kids, (1, 4, and 6yo) for 8 days at the end of the off season. We had a good time and this place is actually pretty nice. It started off quiet, which I like, they have huge back in sites and with our 26' TT it leaves us a good amount of space. Site was clean, and even the picnic table didn't need a table cloth to feel ok eating at.
This is a year round campground, but only one section is set up for the winter. Which is fine but we got stuck next to a old 5th wheel with a few people living full time in it. They were a bit rough. The section is right off the main road leading to the property and the people living there used this to their advantage. There is a key card to get in and he would walk the card to his friends out on the road so they could get in without anyone knowing.
We asked to move to another site and the office was happy to let us move.
The off season was nice due to the lack of people, and I imagine the regular season is really crowded. Not many young kids mostly 10 and up it seemed. It left my young kids bored at times. Most people were quiet and in their rigs by 10 and I have no complaints about too much noise.
There were a huge amount of dogs. I don't think I've been at a place with this many dogs. Most were friendly except for the Rottweiler that the old 5th wheeler people had.
My biggest complaint would be with the people drinking and driving their golf cars. Openly drinking while driving around. That is unacceptable.
They have strict bicycle rules and if you break them it's a 3x you're out deal. They won't let the kids ride. (But drinking on the golf car is okay).
They have a family room which was nice on rainy days. Their game room needs help. Even the games that work don't fully work. Kind of a waste of $.
There is a 7mph Speed limit that gets totally ignored by 60% of the people there but maybe that's because it's the off season.
The beach was nice and the main playground was clean. It would be nice if they put a bench or two for the parents who have to sit there.
It may seem like I'm complaining a lot because I want to be clear about my experience, but I actually enjoyed my time. I am curious to know what it's like during the regular season when it's full of people. Hopefully I'll get to try again.

For Danforth Bay Camping Resort: Great pool, trees are beautiful. Given the cost of this campground, I was expecting more. The bathrooms were consistently dirty and there was always a line to use them. There just is not enough capacity. 1/3 rd of the showers were out of order at the two pavilions near us. No nets on the basketball hoops. There is no privacy in any of the sites we saw. Finally, the wifi speed and reliability is terrible at best. This would not be as large of an issue, but the cell data is also borderline unusable in the area. I know many people camp to get away from it all, but not having the option to plug in for remote work makes me unable to consider this place going forward as I am in IT. When I say it is bad, the weather channel app on my phone could not even update the weather.

Camp store is very expensive, $18.99 for a 12 pack of beer.

For Danforth Bay Camping Resort: We stayed here over Armed Forces weekend 2016. This weekend was free for active duty and retired military. This is one of the best campgrounds we've visited. The sites are extremely spacious and treed. They have 2 pools as well as a wading pool with slides for the little ones. Unfortunately, the pools were not open when we were there as they were scheduled to open the next weekend. The camp store is large with everything from food, shirts, toys, and RV supplies. There is a game room with arcade style games as well as a ping pong table. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this campground to anyone in the area.
