For Pistolet Bay Provincial Park: We spent two nights here while exploring the northern peninsula. It was a convenient home base for the area. The sites were fairly spacious and private. The comfort station was nice for showers and laundry, although not super close to the sites (which seems to be common). We had okay cell service. We were also able to both dump and fill. All in all a good stay.

For Pistolet Bay Provincial Park: We stayed in site 7, which was one of the more private sites. Very far from the only flush toilets, but there were some outhouses slightly closer. The campground is in tuckamore and bog, so not much in the way of trees. Unfortunately, it rained the whole day we arrived, and it was hard to rig up a tarp without trees! This is the closest you can get to L’anse Aux Meadows, except for a few private campgrounds. If you stay here, be sure to make a reservation, for a window table, if possible, at The Norseman restaurant! So, so good!
The showers here kinda suck! I took one at 2:00 pm, and only one other person decided to take hers at the same time! Water pressure went way low, and the temp dropped to tepid! The young lady at the kiosk was very helpful, and informative!

For Pistolet Bay Provincial Park: We loved this park, beautiful well maintained area and the staff very helpful and so friendly.
