For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Balloon Festival. It’s about a 20-25 minute drive to festival, not bad. We booked last minute (not cheap at 125/n) but worth it if that is why you are visiting. Sketch neighborhood but park very well run. Highway noise yes but all Journey parks have that feature :-) Would recommend. Also close to lots of suppliers which came in handy. Balloon Festival was a blast.

Rachel

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: This RV park is very expensive, so I didn’t take the time to check out the area assuming it was in a nice area. This KOA is in a very bad area, it’s right next to what is considered the “war zone” in Albuquerque. We heard gun shots and police sirens all night. This is the first time in 2 years of being full time and traveling in all of the lower 48 and Canada that we have been concerned for safety. Inside the gated park was fine, but we didn’t leave after dark. For a one night stay if you will get here before dark, I think it’s fine. But I wouldn’t stay for a week again. It gets two stars for the huge spacious sites (if you get a patio) and easy in and out for a 45’ 5th wheel.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: We drive a 45’ MH and it was tight making turns and missing trees....but it’s do-able. Lots of full timers and RV’s parked for the summer with no one there. Pool was open but putt putt and hot tub still closed. Some road noise but not to bad. People were nice.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Spotless in every way. Great safe park. Some road noise but not a problem. Wifi is spotty but okay for email etc.

Anna

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: How did they create such a clean, quiet and safe cg in the middle of the Albuquerque metropolis? Obviously excellent management is the answer!! Will stay here exclusively in the future as we travel through NM!!

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Yes, it’s a lovely park. They’ve spent a lot of money to spruce it us. BUT nice they are not. We’ve traveled full time in our RV 14 years and this is the first RV park that refused to let us receive our mail here. CANNOT RECEIVE MAIL HERE!!! They told me to rent a PO Box or UPS box for 1 week! This policy is unacceptable. Since we used to receive our mail at this park when we stayed here before, this must be a new policy of new owners. Too bad we’ve already paid for our stay. Last time!
