For Capulin RV Park and Camp: We have been full time for 4 1/2 years and I have not written a bad review before. So here we go: As I said we are full time and try to make reservations ahead of time to get to our destination. My Wife made a reservation at Capulin RV Park In May for arrival yesterday. Upon Arrival I went to the office door and followed directions by ringing the door bell. The woman came to the door and asked If I read the sign, there was another sign which read their point of sale reader was down and the payment would have to be cash. She then had to go back in and get our reservation. When she came back she said my Wife had already paid for one night so the balance would be $50.00. I said how about if we just spend the one night. She asked why in an unfriendly tone. I told her our destination was not that far away and one night would be fine. She was not very happy with that answer. I then looked into the campground and only saw one camper, I asked if she was going to be full for the two nights. She got aggressive and told me that that had nothing to do with it. She then said she called everyone due to arrive. I replied that we didn’t get a call. The then accused me of calling her a liar multiple times and ripped our receipt off the reservation sheet and told us to leave. As I was walking down the stairs she repeated yelled at me and accused me calling her a liar. Looking at the place I got a very uneasy feeling and might have spent one night. When my Wife checked our bank statements we had actually been charged for both nights when the reservation was made in May. I can’t say strongly enough how much I don’t recommend this campground. If that $100.00 means that much to her, let them keep it. I believe in Karma.

For Capulin RV Park and Camp: We called this place a month in advance to make a reservation and it took a day for her to return the call..red flag!! The owner did confirm the reservation without taking any payment information but did get our name..maybe a yellow flag? When we arrived on the agreed upon day, the owner greeted us with a scowl and barked “do you have a reservation ?” When I tried to answer all I was able to get out was “yes I called” before she interrupted me complaining that she gets fifty calls a day. If you’re running a business, is that a bad thing??? I just got in the coach and we left and drove on to Dalhart. The only thing good about this park is that it is in a location where there is little availability. I would recommend staying in Clayton or Dalhart, Tx if you are heading to or from Colorado. If negative stars were an option that’s what I would rate it

For Capulin RV Park and Camp: Who ever gave this park any stars must have been on drugs!all sites were pure gravel with no grass around them at all, water pressure was a trickle, dead cell service, internet was a joke. When we checked in (at the owners front porch) she opened the door approx 3 inches to hand us out our receipt, then when I called to ask what the password for their Wi-Fi was she made a disparaging remark about me. Horrible park we would have been better parking along the road and giving the $45 to a homeless person

For Capulin RV Park and Camp: Have stayed here often over the years. Great little park. Nice and helpful hosts. Easy in and out. Level sites with easy hookup. I recommend visiting Caplin NM while here. Great visitor center and rim hike. Will stay again. Often.

For Capulin RV Park and Camp: We were on the road late and weren't going to make it to our planned overnight RV park. We saw this place and pulled in. We called the number and we were prompted to leave a message for a return phone call. We waited for ten minutes then left. I felt like the voice mail was nothing more than an effort to look good. In my opinion, if you're gonna tell folks to leave a message for a return call, RETURN the call. We went to "Coyote Keeth's RV Park" instead, they answered the phone and gave us piece of mind.

For Capulin RV Park and Camp: Spent one night and loved this little park. The owners were very friendly and even though it is a small park the owner led us to our site. The site was gravel, level and clean. The bathrooms were spotless. We were concerned about road noise but Hwy 87 was dead at night. We would definitely stay at this park again.

For Capulin RV Park and Camp: Unlike some other reviewers we do use the bathrooms at least. These were as clean as any I have been in in 50 years of RVing. Campground is relatively small and obviously maintainable by two who want to make a growing business. Improvements made each year as we passed and decided to try it out. Others have commented about various features and I will not repeat. Close to road but noise subsided early evening. Traveling in 40 ft motorhome. Rates are about average for full hookups and big rig. If six stars were available would have given six. Great value.
