For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Stayed here for 3 nights so we could visit Roswell Alien Museum and Caverns. Park is clean and orderly. Great dog runs. Friendly staff and very attentive when we arrived. Would love to see more grass. Felt very secure. As for local eateries the best we found was a Pizza Hut. Was hoping for a good Mexican Restaurant. Will stay here again should we be passing through.

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Fair for a one night ... on our way to Carlsbad caverns ... felt secure in a gravel parking lot. Utilities good... No WiFI found! Old KOA needs to be upgraded. But, it probably is the best in area. No much here except NP.

Goldilocks Travels

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: This park provides very spacious sites for a motor home and one vehicle. Super clean indoor pool, good laundry facilities, and decent showers. It's older but clean and functioning all the same. Great dog parks for your pets and a little road noise but didn't prevent sleep for us. Easy access to Carlsbad Caverns and close to town for the very few restaurants and stores you may need.

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: The perfect location to visit Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park. We read some dubious reviews, but can confirm that this park seems solidly run, safe, clean, and well situated. The campground is set back a bit farther from the road than some others in town; there is still some traffic noise, but it wasn't intrusive. There are a lot of permanent residents on the perimeter, including a number of young kids (who are all friendly). Super clean indoor pool is a great place to cool off In the heat of the day. Be sure to check out the RV service shop in front of the property: they are fantastic, well stocked, friendly, and very helpful

Our Educated Guess

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: We stayed for a couple nights just to check out the caverns. Welcoming staff, although they lost our reservation. Our kids were very happy with the indoor warm heated pool. Pretty quiet park the time of year we were there.would stay again

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: The staff was very friendly. The park has a large amount of permanent oil rig workers. However this did not deter from our stay. The spots were of reasonable size. We had internet and local TV stations. The location of the park to Carlsbad Caverns and the city was nice. It is an all gravel park so dogs may not be too happy. The indoor pool was nice according to our daughter.

RV traveller

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Very poor customer service and communication. In the morning the day of my arrival I was quoted a price for basic water and electric camping for my 34 ft. Motor home, and was told there was plenty of space so I would not need a reservation. When I arrived around 6 pm, I was told only "premium" sites were available at a significantly higher cost. The clerk was rude and defensive, insisting that I should have known to make a reservation. I stayed one night and then moved to a nearby state park at one third the cost. Bait and switch?
