For Rockhound State Park: Big sites that are level (or very close). Can't beat the view and the price (14). I'll be back for sure. Seems like the word is out about this place but since I was only staying one night the campground host got me all set up in an awesome spot. Didn't use the bath house but it looks new too.

For Rockhound State Park: Wonderful large level site with gorgeous sunrise and sunset views and then there are the stars. Loved having gambel'S and scaled quail run thru our site. $14 for an electric and water site and new restrooms and showers. Visitors center and staff nice. Be sure to visit spring canyon...17%grade so only do car...and open wed. To sun. Lovely picnic sites and nice hiking trail.

For Rockhound State Park: Nice campground. Regular sites are very generous. Beautiful views. Restrooms and showers new and well cared for...friendly helpful host and rangers. Wanted to see day use picnic area nearby and drove small camper up very steep narrow road to enjoy lunch there before heading out for next stop. Only after reaching a locked gate at the top of this road was there a sign informing me that the area was closed! Had to maneuver truck and camper to get turned around in a very tight spot. Information about locked access should be at the bottom of this road not at the top! What an ordeal!

For Rockhound State Park: The new showers are in. Hot water and nice level sights. There are plenty of power and dry camping spots. AT&T and Verizon work here.

For Rockhound State Park: For cost and facilities this is hard to beat. Well, once they get the new baths in place. They were under construction. A temporary setup was there to get by until the new ones are in. The Rock Hound trail up the mountain was a nice hike. I think you'd want to spend some days there if you are eager to find good rocks and get up the mountain off the trail some. Great views up there. Resful location. Quiet and picturesque. Go for it.

Crampshaw

For Rockhound State Park: Pretty nice park. Unpaved but not unpleasantly so. Seems a little haphazard in layout but we soon figured it out. They didn't actually have a camp space for us but put us in one of the group-area sites. Bathrooms ok but no hot water except in the shower. Short hike in the park but no time for us to go.
