For Fenton Lake State Park: Horrible access road for motor homes. We never made it to the actual hookup camping area due to the holes and dips in the dirt road. We turned around and left. State of New Mexico has some nice campgrounds but this isn't one of them.

For Fenton Lake State Park: I checked this camp ground out by motorcycle because I have an upcoming reservation there. I'm glad I did because there is no way my 29' class C with a MC trailer would have fit into the spot I reserved. It was disappointing because the park is beautiful and I would have liked to stay there. The roads in the park are tight and rough, and the sites for the most part are small and not very level. It appeared to me that all of the sites that had any size to them were reserve only. I would say that saying the park is big rig friendly is kind of a stretch. This is a great place for smaller rigs.

For Fenton Lake State Park: Quiet park. Trails were nice. Roads in were kind of like trails, rough and lots of bumps and holes. Not good.
