For Vista Linda Campground: This is the first campground you get into the Jemez Nat’l and IT IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!! We were in spot # 2; which was a nice sized spot ( with two picnic tables) and gorgeous views throughout the whole day. Bathrooms were clean, but with non flushing toilets. There is access to the Jemez River. Bring cash ( exact change is helpful). There is no WiFi and the closest service is at the convenience store at the south entrance, but with the views you won’t miss it!!

For Vista Linda Campground: Beautiful canyon! We were fortunate to get a Riverside spot. There are no hook ups. Most of the NF campgrounds along Highway four did not have water. Vista Linda had water by the restrooms, but it was a bit brown in color. We had no T-mobile service anywhere along Highway four except at mile 32. We were there during Covid and all but 2 restaurants in Jemez Springs were closed. Los Ojos had good food and a good lager.

For Vista Linda Campground: The view at this campground is amazing. You are surrounded by red/ orange/ beige/ brown colored mountains. The park was very clean and organized. The camp spots are almost all different which took us awhile to choose! Some had shelter over the table and some even had walls for privacy around their tables. The spots were all placed spaciously so your neighbors don’t see you. I was surprised by this place. The surroundings were so well maintained and the trails were easy to follow. I was even able to gather firewood from a hike. No service of any kind up here but if you drive up 10 minutes towards the town/ battleship rock it should work.

For Vista Linda Campground: We stayed here on a Monday night in late October, in a 24 foot travel trailer. Almost nobody here, but we did notice a big 5th wheel managed to get a nice site at the back of the campground. The pads are asphalt, wide, offer some privacy, and may need a bit of leveling. Our site, 12, was near enough to the Jemez River to be visible and audible from our site. The site had a stone wall around the table and fire ring, with a solid roof over it, so you can stay coolish in the hot weather and dry in the rain! You could even have a fire in the rain! Each site and thevouthouses were kept absolutely immaculate by the best campground host we’ve ever met, Donald. He has an old dog, who’s a sweet deaf ridgeback, and he walks with 2 sticks, but he manages to take very good care of this campground, and the people who stop here! He gave us great info about all the places to see around here - Soda Dam, hot springs, Valles Caldera, Los Alamos, so much to see and do here! He also gave us the firewood he was planning on using that night, for $5.00, which he uses to buy extra products for the campground. Later, we heard him chopping firewood for his own fire. There’s a water spigot, recycling and trash,but no dump. The views and stars her are magnificent! We wanted to stay longer, but there was a storm coming! The campground is open all year, and I bet Donald would love to have some company!

For Vista Linda Campground: Stunning! I wish we had more time here, stayed in mid June, hot in the day and cool at night, lots of breeze to stay cool, no AC needed. Site manager keeps the place meticulously clean and very well organised. The stream that runs along the back of the site is shallow and makes for a perfect sundowner location. The red mountains with the rich green trees makes for impressive views. Simply beautiful!
