Lil Quail

For Leasburg Dam State Park: This is a secret spot with friendly and helpful staff, outstanding views, nice walking trails, clean (but unheated) bathrooms and the peace and quiet you don’t find in big RV parks. Some sites can be reserved, some are first come first serve. Come for a night or spend a week exploring Las Cruces.

Happy Travelers

For Leasburg Dam State Park: We loved this campground! We stayed at site 21 in the Cactus Patch loop. We were greeted by the Camphost from the other loop and he directed us to our site and helped us get parked. We have a 36’ 5th wheel and it went great! Site was nice and level, 30 amp electric, plenty of OTA channels, great cell service (Verizon). Several nice trails through the desert landscape, and down to the dry Rio Grande. We took day trips down to Las Cruces, White Sands Missile Range, and White Sands National Monument. Stayed 5 days at $14/night!

RJ

For Leasburg Dam State Park: When we arrived at 4:00 on a weekday, there was only one site left, and we couldn’t fit our 24-ft rig into it, so we had to give it up. Sites weren’t level anyway. But price is right ($10).

For Leasburg Dam State Park: Good place to stay a few days but I couldn't find much going on in the area. Suggest you get reservations if you want water and electricity.

clint

For Leasburg Dam State Park: After a two-day stay at this Campground I tried to dump my tanks and their dump station was full on a Friday morning. I had to pay as much to dump my tanks somewhere else as I did for their campsite. There is never anyone there in the office to answer any questions or give any assistance. The Host never came out of their trailer except once and I had to initiate some kind of contact. I left very disgruntled

geoatl

For Leasburg Dam State Park: Free WIFI at site but not accessible from the camp sites. You have to go to the visitor center. Tried to stay at the primitive sites but was not able to pull in a rig larger than 29 feet. Went over to dry camping site and it was fine. Showers were hot and clean. Verizon and AT&T both worked great. Camp host were real nice also.
