For Horsethief Gulch - Spring Valley State Park: Nicely designed campground in a small canyon amid a sparse pinyon pine/juniper forest overlooking a small lake. Clean bathrooms with great showers, bring quarters for the showers.

For Horsethief Gulch - Spring Valley State Park: Very nice park even though no hookups. Large sites with easy access, level with pea gravel or concrete. Water but not at each site, toilets and showers, sanitation station. Very good fishing in the reservoir. Located in a draw so early sunset, cedar forest with some pinyon pines. Will return again. Loved the whole area.
Update: They have installed electric and water hookups in the lower half of the campground.
