For Virginia City RV Park: I called to see if they had space available for the night. They tell you to go to their webpage but it has been surrendered and it’s now up for sale. They don’t seem to be serious about being in the business

Fergie

For Virginia City RV Park: This was our first trip in RV ever, and our inaugural trip in our new-to-us 1989 GCS 27’ named Fergie. That said, please take this review as one from novices. Overall, the grounds are very well-kept, the onsite market is very well stocked and well priced, and the location is nice. Each space had water, electrical, sewage, and cable (we didn’t use cable). Onsite propane canisters are available, unsure if they will fill the onboard tank. If you are new to RVing, the road to this park is DAUNTING. I’m sure old pros and those with newer RVs didn’t have trouble, but we were terrified. If you are traveling from the Reno/Tahoe area, go first to Carson City, take 50 East, then 341. It splits into a truck route, which is mandatory for RVs. Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff - Walkable to downtown Virginia City (mining-themed town) - Clean bathrooms/showers - Across the street from Miners Park - Beautiful views (even of a cemetery) - guest seemed to faithfully observe quiet hours Cons: - seemed a bit crowded, we don’t have slides, but those that did seemed very close - no grass or anything for little ones. This may be standard, but the park made up for it - market closes at 7pm, but that’s probably ok, too. - if you follow CDC mask guidelines for COVID-19, you’ll likely be the only one. The store market had a small portion of the register blocked by plexiglass, but it seemed bare minimum.

Cliff

For Virginia City RV Park: Little pricey at $50 per night in late October. The RV Spots are tight. Watch your bump outs as the water and electric hook ups are within a foot of your trailer side. It appears numerous people have hit them in the past as several are bent sideways. Tried the cable but it didn’t work and WiFi was slow. Two of the dryers were broken which caused a backlog of people trying to dry their clothes. Very nice staff and awesome views from the campground. The town is VERY touristy. All in all not a bad place and we would stay again.

FaniB

For Virginia City RV Park: Stayed here midweek, in April, in a 24 ft trailer. The gentleman who helped us get settled was very nice, and humorous. Our site was overlooking the Terrace Cemetaries, pretty cool! The site, despite being asphalt, was not very level, and the asphalt was eroded. It has full hookups, that all worked very well. The bathhouse had 3 shower/toilet private rooms, nice and warm in there, but needing some work, so we didn't use the showers. Alltogether, a bit run down, cost in off season was $40, not sure what it is in high season. Still snow in places, so the town hasn't woken up yet, everything seems to shut down by 4:00. We enjoyed being able to walk to everything from our site, and it was quiet at night. Check out the brewery! Nice young lady bartender, good beer, and a cool little locals hangout!

RVThere

For Virginia City RV Park: Nice little campground in a very cool old western town. Staff was very helpful. Roads to campground are pretty tight for a big rig.

Betty

For Virginia City RV Park: don't stay at this campground! It is much to expensive for what it has to offer. Sites are very small, wifi doesn't work good and the Manager is very rude. He slammed the door when I asked something. Incredible!
