For Rondout Valley RV Campground: The most frustrating camping experience ever. From the 'wellcome' procedure (which is Non-welcoming, irritating & very put offish) to support to services it just does not rate at all. We arrived 15 mins early on a Sunday check in, their inside the park waiting area was full so they waited for people to pull in with big rigs & then told everybody they had to back out go away & cone back. This caused massive tie ups as people tried to cone & go thru a very narrow steep pass in & out of the campground. Was a nightmare & staff did not care just yelled you cant park there! So instead of hoing out in a golf cart to meet overflow folks & direct them how to proceed it was madness! Very loud roudy place. No security presence. ABSOLUTELY NO WIFI. You csn buy$$ wifi on a daily basis! BEWARE the LAUNDRY the App they tell u to download to use machines does not work! Suckered me out of $10 & when I called to conplain, they said well, nobody uses that! I can not leave here quick enough! Avoid at all costs! There was one very nice staff member but one guy unfortunayely cant cover all the rest of this crap!

For Rondout Valley RV Campground: We stayed mid September. Most of the parks in the Hudson Valley were closed at that time. Our site was on an unpacked road and the site itself was muddy, making a mess when it rained. There were high speed bumps which you could not comfortably pass at the posted 5 mpg speed limit. It was the most expensive park we stayed at in a month of touring New England. Not worth the money if you don’t have to stay there.

For Rondout Valley RV Campground: Campground Name: Rondout Valley RV Campground Location: Accord, NY Overall Campground Rating (1-5): 3 Maneuverability*: Most of the spots were fine but some of the spots back in the woods would be pretty tight. Campground Notes: Very friendly staff. A few groups of very noisy campers who thought the RV park was their personal nightclub a couple nights, mostly weekends. They did turn it down after 11pm but you could hear their music on the other side of the campground from their site. Site #: 33 Site Rating (1-5): 3 Site Notes: Water, 50-amp electric, & sewer grass/gravel site with picnic table and fire ring. Amenity Rating (1-5): 4 Amenity Notes: Mini-golf unplayable and bounce pad on map but not actually there. Pool was nice, fishing pond, decent playground especially for smaller kids, large pavilion with activities for kids and gatherings like the pig roast. Reason for camping here: Just visiting beautiful upstate New York Miscellaneous Notes: Lots of beautiful State parks, like Minnewaska, with beautiful mountain scenery. All the stores you need about 30 minutes away in Kingston or New Paltz. There is a Walmart about 10 minutes from the campground. We also visited a cool waterpark called Zoom Flume which was about an hour away. Great pierogi right down the street from the campground. Kids will love Kelder’s Farm. Dates Stayed: 8/15/2021 – 8/29/2021 Price Paid: $0 with Thousand Trails membership Weather: Hot – mid 80s to 90s, humid, almost daily thunderstorms, Hurricane Henri Verizon Cell Quality: 4 bars but very slow – 4 Mb/s down & up, a couple times it was unusable during the day T-Mobile/Sprint Cell Quality: 3 bars but very slow, slightly better than Verizon 8Mb/s down & 3Mb/s up, a couple times it was unusable during the day Mail: We had Amazon & FedEx packages delivered to office. They also will collect outgoing letters. For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’. For hotspot data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. For Sprint/T-Mobile, we use an Alcatel Linkzone 2 on Calyx Institute’s unlimited plan. Andrea

For Rondout Valley RV Campground: Horrible. Staff was awful- they made us move over a couple feet after we were set up because they wanted to put tent campers in OUR spot... what the heck?!?! It was definitely only one spot. Loud parties late into the night, packed campground with shady characters, just the worst. They are not enforcing thousand trails rules at all. We felt unsafe.

Hrlevitt

For Rondout Valley RV Campground: A place to avoid. Bad attitudes in the office. Site way too small for a large coach which was reserved. No proper room to turn. Site was impossible to adjust to level. What was the most disappointing was we were given a map that was in error. Someone saw us and said oh that map is useless. You need to ignore it and go there.

Happy Trails

For Rondout Valley RV Campground: We like this resort. We have thousand trails membership and we go here a couple times a year. They have tons of activity for the kids. Pool, playground, activities center. They also have either a DJ or band on Saturday night. The problem is when it rains the sites get muddy. It can be messy. But we still enjoy it.

For Rondout Valley RV Campground: The park has a main central road that is very crowded when full. It splits to the lawn on the left where all the amenities are. Which are a lot! An arcade and hot food, as well as the usual pool, laundry, etc. Looks like a kids paradise and there are A LOT of kids. The park is mostly locals. A lot of altered US flags flying, that may or may not be your thing. To the right is the forest which has some full hookup and a lot of non-sewer sites. There is a pump out service. I stayed at a full hookup site in the forest. It was fairly quiet except for Memorial Day weekend which, all things considered, was still relatively quiet. The only close grocery store is Walmart. It is a very isolated place, though a lot of tourist things are available within an hour drive and there is also a bus from area campgrounds to New York City.
