For Yellow Lantern Kamp Grounds: We had planned to stay here using our Passport America membership. They had spots available and the Wednesday we plan to stay was within the definition of eligible times they post on Passport America. When I went to book the campsite I was told they decided not to except passport America because they were busy enough. Pretty disreputable business practices! When would think they might have taken their posting down from Passport America if they were breaking their agreement.

For Yellow Lantern Kamp Grounds: Stayed here one night the week after Labor Day on the way back to NJ from Canada. Very handy to I81, and just about the the halfway point for us. Certainly not as crowded as it would be in the summer. I'd say that about 30% of the sites appear to be seasonal, but seaonal campers have to out during the winter. I am not sure if they have transient sites available in the winter. For transients, they offered back in full service sites or long pull through sites with electric and water only. All sites have 30 amps, some have 50 amp as well. Roads are packed gravel, and a little rough which keeps speed down. Spacious park with wide radius turns, and no low branches. Some sites have some gravel, but most are grass. The grass was in really good shape with very few bare spots. Sites look level - ours need no blocking. I would have rated the place a 5, but it seems like most sites could be soft if it was raining. The facilities are dated, but appear well maintained. The pool looked great. We did not use the washrooms. It will be our go to spot to stop for when we make this trip in the future. Many others have have complained about the electricity, but with the park sparsely populated when we were there, out EM showed 124 volts with the AC running.
