For Schroon River Escape RV Resort: Tried this camping operation out last year and will never go back. We paid extra $95 per nite for a site on the Schroon River only to find out our neighbors on either side had blocked the access with their equipment and rigs. Their rigs also encroached on our site and we had very little room. When we asked the proprietor to intervene I was told "they are long termers". I guess that means their money was more valuable than ours. The bathrooms were unusable with feces and dirty toilet paper stuck to the seats in tow of three stalls. When complaining I was told "They are kept very clean and cleaned every day". The next day they were the same. We paid for Internet access and there was NO Internet access. The woman I talked to was EXTREMELY offended that I would bring this up while other customers could hear me talking. (Not sure when I could have otherwise discussed this with her) Grounds around our site were strewn with old cigarette butts, some soda and beer cans and other such garbage. NOTHING could get me back to this place EVER again. Stay AWAY!!!

For Schroon River Escape RV Resort: Older campground, level, 30amp, no cable but advertised as such, safe, all utilities at back of site... hard to maneuver big rigs on tight roads and around trees... nice pool , not heated didn't use. Coast 2 coast , good for a day or two traveling... #HisRoadTrip www dot HisRoadTrip dot com
