For Luzerne Public Campground: This is not a welcoming place to be. Our group of friends had 4 or 5 sites among us and, once seeing so big a group, the rangers and owners of the campground instantly had it in their minds that they wanted us out of the campground before the weekend was over. After the first night they claimed we were "extremely loud" and threatened to kick us out. However, rather than doing it right at that moment, they decided to "give us another chance." They gave us permission to hang out at the 'Field of Dreams' with directions to stay quiet and be noiseless when we came in for the night. The ranger checked in on us several times, thanking us for being respectful and letting us know that we were being quiet and polite. However, the next morning, we were awoken to be told that we had an hour to get out. Apparently, a nearby resident sited us as been extremely loud at 4 in the morning (we made sure to hang out at the Field of Dreams until 6 so that no one could make these accusations...fail?) and that we were setting off fireworks (some one did set off fireworks that night around 3, but being that no one could find out who did it, they pointed the finger at us although we didn't have a single firework among the 20-something amount of people with us!) Any complaints made in the campground were blamed on us without any proof whatsoever. This campground is biased, unfair, and unreasonable. I would not suggest it to anyone.

The staff was rude, misinformed, and delirious. They made multiple accusations towards us for "name calling" and other inappropriate actions, none of which are true. They judge you by your appearance and interests and make up their minds from their whether or not you will be able to stay for the amount of time you paid for.

The grounds were beautiful, but I would suggest going somewhere else so that you may be treated humanely and fairly. In America, everyone's voice should be heard and at Lake Luzerne, your voice is not heard. This campground is against American principles and values.
