For Jacques Cartier State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Jacques Cartier State Park Campground. The campground is right off Hwy 3. Easy to get to and get in. The campground is not near anything. Closest towns are Ogdensburg or Alexandria Bay. The road inside the park is paved and in good condition. The office was open and the people were friendly. There is no on site store. The campground is large with many sites to choose from. There are no seasonal campers. They have one row on the water, which some have 15 amp service and water. No sewer hook up. Some sites have no electrical, just water. The sites along the water are pull thru but parallel to the water. They have other sites that are pull thru and back in but none of those have water view. The sites are grass and many are not level. All have a fire pit and table. The sites are fairly close together. Especially the ones along the water. I felt that other campers were in our site half the time. We had site 117 which was nice but not nice. The bathhouse and laundry was open. We did not use them so I cannot speak on them. They have a beach area with brown sand. I guess it is nice on a hot day in the summer. We put our chairs right in the water at our site and did a little swimming also. They also have a boat ramp. The park picks up your garbage each day at the same time. Some sites have shade, but those along the water did not. They have no Wifi and no cable TV. We could not get any local channels on the air antenna. There is no road noise but the boat and jet ski noise makes up for that. Here is my reason for only 3 stars. The sites on the water are way too close to each other. Our site had a huge mud pit right along side of the motorhome. You had to walk around it all the time. People bring way too many family members to this campground. There is suppose to be a limit at each site, and many campers exceeded that 3 times over. The loop along the water is not a peaceful campsite. I feel sites E111 and E110, are the better sites. I would not go back unless I had one of those sites.
