For KOA Holiday Newburgh: 2nd worst KOA that I’ve been to. Seems lots of local folks come to party. Cabin in aloud to have a 3 foot speaker and blasts music all day. Mgt did nothing after my call. If you like loud kids and bass pumping through your RV then this camp is for you.

For KOA Holiday Newburgh: Comfortable, wooded campground. Our pull through sites (both visits) were level and spacious. Bathrooms/showers are very old and work ok, but need updating (but were mostly clean). We stayed here traveling to and from Maine/Canada. Getting to the campground is a challenge, as you must drive a long way on rural/neighborhood roads to get there. Do your research before arriving to area. We would stay again.

For KOA Holiday Newburgh: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at New York / Newburgh KOA. Getting to the campground was a problem. Do not get off I-84 to 17K. The intersection at Rock Cut road almost broke my motorhome. The bad thing is I called the campground the day before asking for any special instructions, and they said nothing. The roads in the campground are paved and gravel and are in OK condition. The trees are trimmed good. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. No one escorted us to the site which most KOA campgrounds do. They have a large camp store. Large parking area is provided while checking in. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. Our site was 127, a pull thru site with a picnic table. The campground has mostly shaded sites which shed tree debris all over your motorhome. Our site was not level. We had to use a whole set of wheel blocks and still not level. No matter where I parked it, it was not going to be level. Most sites look unlevel. The site was wet. It never dried for the whole week. The site was gravel. The campground has a small amount of seasonal folks. The bathhouse was basic. Laundry was OK. There was a large pool but it was green. The second pool is out of service. There was a game room. There is no workout fitness room. There is no restaurant on site, but the campground is close to town. Cable TV service is available and good. Wifi was available and good. No road noise to note. Our site was very narrow. The campground recently dug up the ground next to our site and left it a mess. Mud, roots were very hugely. I asked the in the office twice to fix it, but nothing was done. Most sites are not very attractive. The grounds were not maintained. Maybe sites 145, 146, 147, 152, 154, 156 & 114. This park has lots of amenities, but most sites were just blaa. I may come back. For KOA Holiday Newburgh: Normal KOA, close spots with a great playground and activities for the kids. We were able to pretty easily get in to a back in site with a 44 ft fifth wheel. Not a lot of cell reception for ATT, T-Mobile, or Verizon, we had 1 bar occasionally 2. But the campground wifi worked great. The water is brown and has a very strong chlorine smell. Someone would wash their hands and the entire RV would smell like a pool. We added an extra water filter to the hose which cut down significantly on the smell and color, but the water was still yellow. It’s not a problem if you travel with filters, but make sure to bring drinking water with you.

For KOA Holiday Newburgh: I really like this camp. The design layout of the spacious sites gives a feeling of privacy, trees & green growth between each site. Our pad is gravel and near level, full hookups and cable. Verizon is 2 bars. I don’t know what poison ivy looks like but grounds are trimmed along roadways.

For KOA Holiday Newburgh: Do not go to the “R” sites unless you want to be in a parking lot. Terrible cable reception. Sites very tight. No control of quiet hours, dogs barking, late night music. Great sites for the same price in the wooded lots. But good location to hike at the Mohonk Preserve. Won’t return here.

For KOA Holiday Newburgh: Great WiFi, great showers and laundry. BEWARE of the poison ivy. It is everywhere. Can’t enjoy being outside in your campsite for fear of brushing against it.
