For Port Henry Champ Beach Campground and RV Park: Port Henry Marina is incredibly beautiful. I was not thrilled with my tent site closely sandwiched between 2 large RV's, but made the best of it. It was the first adventure my service dog and I had been on since my PTSD diagnosis 2 years ago, and I was so thankful that I got her to fall asleep by 10pm. At 11pm, we were violently woken by a high-speed train and its long, piercing horn. The tracks were less than 50 feet from our heads! We were so shaken that I had to make beds in my car, just to help with the ringing in my ears. The dog was shaking all night. This happened 3 MORE TIMES during the night! I got NO SLEEP and couldn't wait to get out of there at first light, but was locked in by their front gate. I called and called the campground's main number with no avail. All of this could have been prevented by a friendly warning from staff on check-in, and I would've stayed at my 2nd choice campground.
