For North Pole Campground: Close to many activities but it s a new Kia and needs improvement . Both pools closed until fully renovated. The camp store is on the other side of the road. Wifi sketchy. Toilets could be cleaner, spiderwebs, no hand paper, hand soap distributor empty

Kim

For North Pole Campground: KOA now. We’ve stayed previously before it was purchased by KOA and it was charming, well cared for, staff was delightful, very clean sights with no litter and everything worked. Now that it is a KOA prices have increased, cute décoré is gone for the kids, sites have litter, other than the one kid that checked us in, staff is not welcoming, store is sparse, pool is broken, check in was moved a 1/4 mile down the road and no signage to tell you. No events for the kids anymore either. The area is still beautiful but sadly we will not be back and will not recommend to friends and family. Sad that a nice, well run family campground has gone downhill with corporate ownership.

Cathy

For North Pole Campground: Despite the corny name the North Pole had everything we needed with the added benefit of being right on the Au Sable river in the mountains near Whiteface Mtn. Flat sites, nice landscaping, friendly staff. Lots of hiking nearby. Bathrooms are not heated which is only a minor inconvenience. They give the Good Sam discount.

Stuzvw

For North Pole Campground: We tried to get a site in late March, the camp ground was not open but the owner let us park our VW Camper for the night at no charge. We will be coming back when the camp ground opens for the season. Very close to Whiteface and Lake Placid

Jim

For North Pole Campground: Spent 4 nights here in July while exploring Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain and other wonderful nearby locations. Was totally satisfied with everything. Campground is very nice. Only complaint would be tight back-in sites behind office. Would definitely come again and recommend to others.

Kdwhite

For North Pole Campground: $$$$ expensive for one night, especially for October. Extra for second car, extra for pets, have to park second car 1/2 mile away, even tho some sites very large, and late in season, few visitors. Clean, although external bathrooms not heated. Some nice flat sites open, but we were placed in very uneven, roots bound grass site. They really pushed their store and restaurant. Probably will not return, nor recommend to friends.
