For Huron River Valley Campground and Marina: Huron River Valley is my favorite campground ever! Yes, there are bugs. Yes, the closest restroom is a port-a-potty. But, it's camping! I love that we can be right on the water and watch nature up close. There are "real" restrooms and showers closer to the main office. Our golden retriever really loves that the campground is dog friendly! The kids enjoy the playground and the inflatable jump pillow. There is often bands or events on the weekends at the pavilion. Also, docking for boats is available.
The staff is always friendly and remembers our family. The office has a small store with food staples and almost anything that you may have forgotten; firewood, toothbrushes, worms for fishing, etc. I always appreciate the security of a gate that keeps random people from driving through the campground at night.
