For Hidden Lakes Family Campground: I have stayed in this park twice. Very good experience both times. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the price. We had full hook ups but no sewer. $60. That said the park is very well maintained. The roads do get a little dusty, but I have seen the staff water them to control dust. The spaces are well above average roomie. Lots of options for lake view or woods. There are a handful of seasonal campers however they don’t make you feel like you are camping next to a permanent dwelling. We enjoyed floating around the swimming lake. There is also dedicated fishing lake. The shower house has locking privacy stalls with hooks. The bench is outside that area. Bathroom was clean, but on the weekend it got a little less clean because there were more campers. A few things to know. Sewer service at your site can be arranged, but you have to schedule in advance, so definitely call and arrange when you make your reservation. I believe it’s only offered 1 day a week. There is a dump station which can be a tiny bit confusing to find when you are navigating counterclockwise around the lake. We stayed in June and at that time the office was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday . If you are trying to make a reservation to check in on those days they appear unavailable . It’s possible they would accommodate you as maintenance personnel is always on site. They helped someone who got their days mixed up check in while we were there. Also I believe the pool was closed on those days as well . Check if it’s a deal breaker . The park was very very empty during the week. We felt like it was our private camp. It did fill up a little on the weekend . The staff was very friendly efficient and helpful . It’s a dark park, the night sky was truly beautiful. So the bottom line is yes it’s pricey but I had no complaints and would stay again . I love punderson , it’s less expensive , the sites are much closer together and it’s very difficult to get a reservation unless you plan 6 months in advance . There is no pool, and you have to drive to get to the swimming area. There are not a lot of campgrounds in the area. We have a 35ft 5th wheel. Hope that helps

For Hidden Lakes Family Campground: Hidden Lakes Campground This place apparently has a new owner as the name is changed. This is large nicely wooded campground with very roomy sites which felt even more roomy because we were one of only three visitors we noticed during our first four days. About half the sites were occupied by seasonals who weren’t there mid-week. We left on a Saturday and only a few people had shown up. There was some recent storm damage that was still being cleaned up when we arrived along with some muddy lots in lower areas. This campground has the potential of being great but it’s going take a lot of work, TLC and money. Roads are DUSTY, often rough and gravel. The workers pay no attention to the 5mph speed limit raising clouds of dust as the go past your site.Lots are gravel with surrounding grass. Bathrooms look recently redone and mens was clean - woman was not so clean. The changing benches outside the showers are in full view of the central hallway. Not much for privacy. The swimming lake/pond seemed to have a nice beach and looked clean. The advertised pool is closed. I get the feeling they don’t cater to overnighters as they charge $33 just to make a reservation. The office is open seven hours a day, five days a week. Our “premium back-in” site was $63 a night plus the registration fee. Our site was on a fishing lake but only had water and 30 amp electric. No sewer. And the refund rules seem rather draconian. Probably the least forgiving we’ve encountered. Our biggest grumble is that we paid what amounted to over $69 a night for what would normally cost $30-45. And now we have to have our RV and car washed. With Punderson State Park not that far away I think we’ll try that next time we’re in the area. Hopefully things here will improve The property really does have excellent potential.
