Jodie

For Big Sandy Toledo-Maumee Campground: Not what I was expecting. We booked for one night....several days in advance. It took 3 days for the woman to call back, confirming my res. When I took her call, I was away from pen and pencil, so I didn’t record the lot #. But she wanted CC info to hold the spot....$45 for ‘full hookups, 50 amp.’ We arrived just before 3 and no one in the office or answering the phone. We parked in front and waited just over 1 hr. Our site required us to unhook as we’re 65’. This is not what we’d been told. No sewer, but a dump on site. The guy next to us said there’s a gray water dump at each site, but ours had rocks to the top. So we dumped first. Way too many trees for any Dish reception and no reception on Air or CABLE....SO NO TV. We have our own WiFi, so I know nothing about theirs and wasn’t given a password. The place does have two lakes and lots of trees. Lots of permanent summer residents (or for the weekend). The sites are fairly level...grass with some gravel and mostly dry despite recent rains. I think there’s a laundry and bath at the office, but didn’t need it. While walking our dogs, I say a common covered area with tables and a BBQ and portable potties. I wouldn’t stay again.

Marina

For Big Sandy Toledo-Maumee Campground: We stayed here for one night. It was a great place to stay for the price - clean and quiet campground with 2 ponds, one for swimming with a nice sandy beach and the other one for fishing with lots of fish. We chose the basic site for $30. The sites were really close to each other. They had some premium sites on the water that were really nice. We wish we paid for the upgraded site. There was a lot of permanent residents in this campground. The internet didn't really work for us, and we were pretty close to the office. Otherwise a nice spot for a weekend on the water.

For Big Sandy Toledo-Maumee Campground: 06/10/2017 Just visited Big Sandy after speaking with Ed the day before.
When we pulled up to the entrance you could easily see a very organized and clean campground.
Ed was not present but the two people, Jane and Len running the campground were very helpful.
We spoke with several seasonal campers and they are very happy.
The lakes were clean and a great sandy beach area. Very nice campground with very pleasant people.
