For Killbear Provincial Park: A wonderful place. A great variety of sites, although most are shaded. Great shower houses. Many beaches on the clear waters of Georgian Bay.

For Killbear Provincial Park: Three days June 6-8, 2022 in truck camper. Harold point campground site 630. Site gravel not level. This campground is large with a variety of sites. Heavy tree cover. Site close to beach with a small stream behind site. Most sites spaced out with foliage in-between. Campground only about 30% full. It had been raining. I liked easy access to water and the excellent kayaking in this area. Did not use facilities. MIFI T-mobile and Verizon both worked fine. Satellite would have been a problem due trees. Roads narrow and some sites way to small for larger rigs. I asked staff where to go for supper and a drink and recommended Parry Sound about a 30 minute drive. Drive in from main road rough in places but not otherwise difficult. Two bars Verizon on Apple phone. This is a beautiful area and I am sure gets busy at summers peak.

For Killbear Provincial Park: Nice big park, lots, like almost 1,500 sites, spread out over a lovely bay. Lots of sandy beaches, some welcomed privacy between sites. We’ve noticed most Ontario Provincial Parks around the Great Lakes, are thickets due to previous clear cutting. This one, at least, offers some openness and views! We hiked a couple of the short trails today, and they were more interesting than what we’ve come to expect. Our site was fairly level, and because we paid a premium price for a hookup with a view, we got it! Cost is about $50/ night. Sites are far apart, so feel private, and very quiet. Did not check out the restrooms, yet, but there is even a laundry here.

For Killbear Provincial Park: Lovely Provincial Park. Most of the sites are a decent size, but there are some that lack privacy. When they say Killbear, they aren't joking. There were a couple of bears there when I camped there. No incidents, but something to be aware of. Very important to not leave any trace of food out. You will need to book early if you're camping during the summer.

Jimbo

For Killbear Provincial Park: A nice but very busy park. Lots for activities. Supplies are just out side of the park. Rough road leading to the park (summer 2017). Really big bump from a culvert in the park. It's signed but most people are surprised how big of a bump it is. You can see the mark in the road where folks have caught their rear jacks on the bump.
