For Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park: I was pleasantly surprised by this park. I found it to be a very nice camp ground. Lots to do. Clean. There is no power when we stayed in the summer of 2020. There were some neighbouring sites that were less than courteous and ran they’re genies at all hours. And there was a lot of garbage left in our second site by the previous occupants. We have a 23’ travel trailer and it was tight even driving through the campground. It was manageable but Ontario Parks needs to revisit how they classify their sites. We had to switch sites from the ones we reserved because there was no way to fit the camper on the site even though the site description said you could fit a 45’ RV.

For Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park: Middle of June and the mosquitos are so bad we couldn’t get out of our rig. Worst we have seen in our two weeks in the north woods along Lake Superior and the interior of Canada. Electric sites share a power pole between two sites. Our site (9) we needed a 50 foot cord to get to the pole. Previous reviewer was incorrect. You can dump exiting the park, but it is a sharp turn into the dump station. When we were here the park was under a boil water advisory so we did not fill. Park map shows interesting stuff to do and nice lake but the bugs are too horrible to enjoy it.

For Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park: As said before, not made for big rigs we have a 42 foot 5er. Parked on a 28 foot lot, not a lot of problem for us. Beautiful lake to canoe on, river to tube on & awesome hiking trails.

For Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park: NOT for larger rigs!!!
Cannot access dump station while exiting park.
Trees and bushes need to be trimmed back as we scratched our rig throughout the park.
No directions as to how to get through the park.
The only thing is the park attendant was very helpful.
