For Camp Hither Hills: Obviously older. Don’t believe they have wifi, it’s unusable. Neither AT&T nor Verizon hotspots work here. Our Verizon cell phones work for texting. 6 off the air tv channels

For Camp Hither Hills: To get a Reservation in this park is a pain!! first the link from this app does NOT work ! then after googling I called, theyDONT answer the phone and have not activated there answering device, then I wrote a email and got 1 day later a mail back to fill out a form and submit it after being told they would have space for the time period requested, now 2 days later still NO answer from them !! You be the judge, Ottawa would be a interesting City to visit with all the great museums and being capital of Canada, getting a overnight place for RVers is next to impossible close to the attractions, so we rather go to city’s and towns that provide easy access and skip the once that do not. I assume this city has not realized that RVers are affluent and do spend money in all places they visit.

For Camp Hither Hills: An older park in the family since `1964. Older woman oversees things and she is very nice. Lots of grass (and mosquitos!). The front area where we were is 30 amp and is close to road, but it was quiet at night. Has laundry on site which was nice to use and cheaper than other RV places we’ve stayed. The showers are clean but older and for payment. Toilets were clean. Water is from a well and pressure was not as strong as city water. We drove in to Brewster Park, unloaded bikes and rode Rideau canal in every day as advised by park, that was a lovely way to see Ottawa. It is a bit south of town, but it was worth driving in to park and touring city from there. Overall, would recommend.

For Camp Hither Hills: The camp wasn’t a corporate resort but had everything we needed: we had 30 amp/water/sewer, laundry with change available in the office, bathhouses ($1 for 7 minutes), and was near all amenities we needed. CHH was a quiet escape from the city without being too far. Our friendly bilingual hosts helped us explore with travel maps and brochures, and the pool and playground made the stay kid-friendly. Pick up an Ottawa bike map, ask about the underground, and enjoy!
