For Barview Jetty County Campground: Well, the last time we stayed here we were in spot #45 and it was camper to camper spaces. We said the next time we were going to get a pull through site or a tent site with no hookups, but we couldnt find a pull through site available. So we were packed in like sardines until the weekend was over and we were by our shelfs mostly. Nothing had changed here, bath rooms ok and maintained. Showers were very very hot and little time for the money you have to spend. Beach was nice and easy access to it as always. Two thirds of the tent areas were closed already but two of the camp hosts in the tent areas were still there. Being there in the first week in October it was mostly foggy every day and the valley was 80* most days. We took a drive to Fred Meyers in Tillamook about 20 minutes away and it was sunny and no fog. Gas in Florence was $4.79 a gallon for regular. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Travel Trailer.

For Barview Jetty County Campground: What a find! We were so lucky to find this wonderful campsite. Whilst it may not have been on the beach it was only a short walk away and you didn't have to cross any roads. Great place for an RV as the sites are pretty level and the hook ups for the electric are off the ground and with the rain pelting down this made for easy clean up. Quite spacious sites with clean tables, benches and fire pits. Lovely area for kids to play in and the washrooms were very clean. Showers take quarters and are hot and long lasting 75 cents will do it. Very quiet at night - no road noise and NO trains!

RVBoy

For Barview Jetty County Campground: We were in our 32 foot motor home, and were assigned a spot at the gate. We had not been to this very large campground before, so we didn't know what to expect. If it had not been a little late, and we just needed one night, we would have gone back to the gate and asked for a better spot. In the middle of the campground, there is a parking lot with hookups were we were assigned. All around and right down to the beach are very nice private, wooded sites which we would have much preferred. They probably didn't have hookups but that would have been ok with us. The only other thing to complain about was the pricing. They have a strange system that the first night you stay is $11.00 more than subsequent nights. So our parking lot spot was $42. But there is good beach access to drive to from the parking lot.

Sam

For Barview Jetty County Campground: I have been camping year around at Barveiw since 1970
I started out there, hardcore camping in a pup tent with a oversized tarp and now I have gracefully aged into nice warm dry RV with all the creature comforts of home.
I don't mind paying for my great camping experience.
Many great improvements have made over the years and it really shows.
Great fishing from off the rocks of the Jetty and into the surf from of that beautiful beach.
We also go storm watching, there's nothing like experiencing the raw power of Mother Nature!
The crashing waves, howling wind and pouring rain.
We also fly kites and dig holes in the sand to light a driftwood fire, so we can snuggle in a blanket, while sharing a bottle of wine to watch the sunset.

PatP

For Barview Jetty County Campground: Dry camped near jetty. Could walk over dune to beach or up hill for lookout area. Nice spot. They stick it to tourists though with a "registration fee" of $10. With county taxes we paid $37.50 for dry camping. Hookups will go for $50. You pay 10 less additional nights but evertime you pull in you re charged registration fee again. Very high priced for county campground. Oh! It s pay showers!!!! Ta boot!!!! It was late and we were tired but not on my favorite list.

For Barview Jetty County Campground: Nice place if you like almost solitude. The beach is great.

The fog horn is relentless.
