For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: It an okay place to pull in overnight. Bathrooms and showers were clean enough, and the staff very friendly. The sites are paved and in a wooded area. We traveled in a truck camper, so we could back in fairly easy. However, I could see that a big rig or trailer setup could definitely have some issues backing into the sites. The super downer was the train. The track is literally a stone throw away, and trains blew their horns as trains will do. There was nothing within walking distance, so you either stayed at the campground or drove into town.

For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: Dirty,Rundown,Dog Park Full Of Poop Every Time We Entered, Train Runs All Hours At The Edge Of The Park, Felt Like A Sate Park For More Money, Some Sites Are Basically In The Road With No Place To Set, Charge For DVD And Book Rental, Pool/HotTub Not In Service. Unlike Any KOA We Have Been To.

For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: We stayed here 5 nights to tour the gorge area. August 2021. If you hate train noise you might not like this place but doesn’t bother me. Had a great site along back of park with full hookups. You don’t have a lot of choices in this area to stay at but we liked the park. Book early to get a good site. Closer to office is rather tight. We have a 27’ 5th wheeler. Laundry was small so pick off times to go. Pool was not the best kept up so I would not use it. I expect more from a KOA.

Pablo

For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: I’ve stayed at some really nice KOAs. This is not one of them. Overpriced for a sh***y dirt site where someone had clearly dumped their grey water tank on the ground. When we asked to move sites they insisted it was not allowed. Ok for a night when you just need a place to sleep. Oh, and the train, so maybe sleep isn’t much of an option.

Lawrence

For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: Over the years we’ve stayed at quite a few campgrounds, but this campground is in a complete wrong location. Without much modification this location could function as a train station platform. Trains are running at less than 20 feet from this site 24/7 blowing their horns. As you can imagine you won’t get much sleep at this site. Not sure if the are earplugs on the market that can suppress this level of sound. Generally the staff was very friendly expect for one supervisor who ordered us not to put a mat on the grass (used in front of the RV to sit on and keep dirt out) as it would kill their grass. Perhaps they should make it a house rule that mats are forbidden to put on the grass -in front of your rv. The KOA pool was closed like all the local tourist attractions due to COVID-19. The entire town was cutoff from cable TV (including KOA) and the few open local restaurants stop serving dinner at 6PM.

For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: This is a nice enough KOA for an overnight stop. The people are nice and most of the sites are great. Our pull through was next to the office so it was a bit cramped and our hang out area was dirt which wasn’t the best. We were able to leave our car hooked up to our 37’ MH, so that was nice. There is a fenced dog area and a playground. We did not use any of the facilities. We would probably stop by again.

C

For KOA Holiday Cascade Locks: I'm a 24 ft class c towing a car. Like pull thrus for that reason. Was put on end spot with 3 lanes of traffic, kids, bikes around me. No privacy whatsoever. People allowed to park extra cars on grass all over the place - even into other folks sites. Trains are very close, run 24/7 and have whistles blowing long and loud as they pass camp. Sites and interior roads are mostly dirt, not even gravel. Lots of trees. Can use cable but no satellite or tv antennas.
