For Pass Creek County Park: Nice looking park that's easy access off and onto the freeway. Pleasant enough place surrounded by lots of trees. Host was helpful and friendly. We stayed in our trailer. Most RV sites offer some degree of private space, while the tent area is flat, grassy and appears to be quite spacious. Pretty noisy due to freeway, twice a day train close by - no loud horns though, and a high pitched alarm that I believe may have been for the RV and bathroom septic system. Thankfully there was a button to silence the alarm, which went off both nights we were there. Not sure what that's all about but it likely isn't a regular occurrence.

For Pass Creek County Park: Beautiful Spot, But Some Downsides
This is a quick exit off of I-5 and beautiful grounds. The sites are spacious and fairly private. The hosts were very gracious and responsive. But there are some fairly important negative features. There is a beautiful pond here, but a flock of geese reside here. This means there is goose poop everywhere. The hosts tried their best to clean the campsite with a pressure washer, but we had to pick our way to the picnic table to avoid stepping in the mess. The other big downside is that you can see and hear the traffic on I-5. This does not bother me at night, but for the sensitive it might be a deal-breaker. The grounds are spacious and beautifully kept and the bathrooms were very clean.

There are no great walking trails here. We went to Cottage Grove for the attractions and this location certainly puts you in range for some great hikes, covered bridges tour, etc.

For Pass Creek County Park: This park was wonderful for what we needed! It was easily accessible off the freeway for our night of tent camping on our way up further north. The camp host Tony was VERY welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. The park was clean and could accommodate a fairly large area for campers and tents. There were clean bathrooms with running water, but no showers. I appreciated pitching my tent on nice soft grass instead of hard dirt :) Thank you Tony and Pass Creek County Park for a wonderful stay!
