For Rockhorse Park at Horse Ranch: So called park is right along Hwy 31. Overgrown grass field with two old travel trailers who appear to be there all year and buildings look ran down and in need of paint job. Park was empty of any other campers. We drove in to see what a site would look like an some older woman came out and stood in front of our vehicle with her hands on her hips and scowled at us, asked us what we wanted. Told her we saw this was supposed to be RV park and was checking to see. She went on about a stop sign and was not even close to being friendly! Told her see ya, you aren't getting our business and high tailed it out of there before the banjos started playing. Guess if you like a hippie hillbilly kind of park this is for you, not us.

For Rockhorse Park at Horse Ranch: This place fulfilled my desire to recreate the camping experience of my childhood. Very sweet spot among some old Ponderosa Pine. Wonderful smell on a warm day and the wind sounds great rustling through them. Shady most of the day. There are a variety of site types, so something for everyone. Bathroom was clean, shower was fine, wi-fi worked well. Cute little store with the basics including a whole fridge of ice cold beer, wine and some interesting blown glass items now legal in Oregon. The staff is friendly and helpful and they leave you alone. Fat tire biking or hiking starting right at the rear of the property. About six miles from Fort Rock.
