Loring 
For Goose Lake State Recreation Area: This park is very nicely maintained, with big spaces and mature shade trees. The showers are free, and the bathrooms are clean, but have had some hard miles. Goose Lake hosts all kinds of water birds and the campground has many other types of birds non water birds. There is a well maintained walking path around the park that would be a treat for birders. The park is "first come" "due to it's remote location" and when we were there in June 2016, we were one of 3 campers. There is water and power at each site, but it's only 20 amp service. There is a well laid out dump station and a potable water station. The fee was $22. All in all, a very pleasant stop, peaceful and quiet, in an interesting setting. Try it, you'll like it.
