Patrick McLemore

For Hollywood Casino: Very unfriendly to rvers. Parked in upper lot as we’ve done before with no issues but felt good manners to call and ask. Spoke to the security commandant and he said had to park with the trucks. Parking lot empty , as this is early April Noisy. Noisy. Long uphill walk. Noisy engines I don’t think they see any differences between quiet rvs and big rigs that need to run their reefers all night I recommend any other place. The casino at wilkes barre is worlds more welcoming

Marl

For Hollywood Casino: I’ve stayed overnight here twice in a camper van. First time in June 2022 and again in Nov. 2022. I did not stay in the designated RV lot as it was too far from the casino for me to walk. Spoke with a grounds worker who said it was no problem. Extensive paved lots and other campers stayed in the lots just as I did. Lots of open area. Quiet, restful night here both times. Good Verizon signal and some level areas to park. Very close to I-81.

For Hollywood Casino: Overnighted on 9/25/2020; 31ft class C towing 2dr Wangler. Called and confirmed overnight parking was okay. Did not stay where the signs directed Semi Trucks and RVs to park as it was not level and full of running trucks. Did park in the main parking lot away from the casino. Other RVs present; plenty of room. No issues; nice stay. Casino was nice. Will stay again.

Halfloaf

For Hollywood Casino: Called ahead and was told I could park overnight in the north lot and that no checkin was needed. Arrived and found signs that directed RVs past the casino entrance and around back of the horse fields to a strip of cement that was trucker parking. I’m not sure if it was the “north lot” or not, I was too tired to call and figure it out or go anywhere else so even though I felt bad I took a trucker spot and slept. I had hoped to enjoy that casino amenities like a normal casino stay, but the casino was at least a quarter mile away so I just cooked my own dinner and breakfast and left.

Larry

For Hollywood Casino: Stayed here in 2017 and 2018 and we parked in an upper lot near the casino wit other RV’s. This year, 2019, when we arrived we saw no RV’s in the upper lot. We found a sign that directed all trucks and RV’s to a lower lot. The lower lot was full of trucks, poorly lit and felt unsafe. We moved on and will no longer plan on using this casino.

Lisa

For Hollywood Casino: Overall a good place to stop as it is convenient to I-81 and there is food right there. However, when we stopped here on a Sunday night in Nov there was 1 RV (taking up all the flat spaces) and a number of trucks (which grew overnight) many of which had their engines running all night. We arrived at night so did not see that there is a grassy area to the left of the parking that does allow Extra RV and truck parking and it is flatter. The rest of the parking is on a slope (we could not level without getting the rear wheels off the ground!)
There are a number of restaurants inside the casino which is massive. The parking is a bit of a walk from the casino or you can drive-there is plenty of parking. We weren't there long enough to watch a horse race but did get to watch the trainers exercising some of them. All in all a good stop and the noise was no worse than a truck stop. In the future we'll try to park in the grass if it's dry as it'll be level and likely a bit less noisy.

Crys

For Hollywood Casino: Stayed here a couple of weeks ago on way to Canada and had a great experience, so stayed again 10-13-17. Not really superstitious, but luck wasn't on my side last night. After eating and betting on horse races at casino, came back and was sound asleep from midnight until 3 am, when I began hearing a group of people talking. After what seemed like 20 min, they decided to turn on car stereo one parking space over from me and began to have a parking lot party. At this point, I became extremely mad. The parking lot had lots of empty spaces--not around the 4-5 RV's in our area, so why couldn't they figure out people were sleeping inside. So I banged on the window, but they couldn't hear me, so I opened car door and said "people are sleeping in here, and u all are having a party in the parking lot?". They turned down music, but it was still audible. And combined with chatter, I was now fully awake and decided I would move my RV instead. But about the time I found my keys, they all left parking lot, except for one car, and I'm not sure he was with the partying crowd because he had a 8-10 year old child in the car, and spent a half hour feeding a pit bull in a kennel in his rear SUV. While doing this, he had front door and lift gate up and it was 34 degrees and child appeared to be freezing to death with no coat. I kept thinking did that man bring his child to casino and leave him in car as cold as it was while he gambled. I didn't know how to handle situation. Thought about calling cops, but then I decided to go out and offer the kid a blanket so as not to get father ticked at me and maybe slit my tires or worse. I said "ur child looks like he's freezing. Do u want to give him this blanket? He replied, that he just told him to hurry up because he was freezing and that they were leaving and he closed liftgate where he was messing with dog and then left immediately. Friday the 13th for u. I hope that kid is ok.
