For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: We used location this on a return from Florida to Pennsylvania. Our phone conversations with the staff were great. Very nice people. It was easy to locate and close to our route. The only thing I can say that was not great, was we arrived after dark and had a challenging time finding our space as another camper’s truck was parked in half of our site. The sites are back to back. It was cold so no one was out of their campers for us to see who’s truck it was. I imagine the person that parked in half of our site and moved the picnic table, assumed nobody was going to be coming into that site. Regardless, that’s not good camping etiquette. The rules clearly state to not park in unoccupied sites. We would stay here again as the staff, the location and the cost was great.

For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: We booked this as we were going to be in the area for a wedding and did not want to board our dogs. We needed a concrete pad due to my mobility issues. It is barely a concrete pad. The rest is dirt or gravel. I t barely works for my situation. The sewer hook up we needed was being used by another site, and the hook up was different than any we had seen before. The bathhouse had no accessible showers or bathroom stalls. I couldn’t get my wheelchair in any stalls and no handrails any where. We were hoping to use the shower as I was not able to step into ours. Sponge bath it was! Will be looking for something else in the future.

Cathy

For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: The owner must have listened to the comments and made improvements. They have a new office building, and the bathroom and showers look new. Very nice playground! The place was very quiet. The WiFi excellent. We were passing through and this was a very nice place for an overnight stay. That being said, I don’t know why anyone would stay in a KOA for a vacation. But it was great for a road trip.

Dolly

For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: What a dirty dump. Charcoal dump in my site right by the picnic table. Dirty abandoned vehicles. Barking dog. Site was level and that’s the only good thing I can say.

For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: Boy, we’re we disappointed in this place. Its in really rough shape. Major construction going on next door. Dreary and depressing. Go elsewhere, anywhere. Worst KOA ever.

For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: Not what I expected from a KOA - a high dollar KOA. This place is dirty, dusty and not what I imagined when I read the reviews. I do not recommend this place. They placed us behind a long white fence in the middle of dirt and gravel. There were “better” places throughout the park that would have been cleaner and less dust. However, it wasn’t to be.

Lisa

For KOA Journey Charlotte Fort Mill: I stopped in to just dump a Class B I had been using for family. Campground office is in gas station. Staff covered gas station and KOA. Dump cost $20 despite having KOA rewards card. Not what I expected from a KOA.
