For Oconee State Park: Sites are close together, if you have AT&T don’t expect ANY service whatsoever. Other than that it was a beautiful area and the staff was friendly. I’m sure In the summer this campground is super busy! Lots of things to do. Loved our site

For Oconee State Park: January 2021 - we spent 2 nights and wished we had booked a couple more. The campsites all seemed pretty close together and not very welled planned out, although they were doing extensive work on the campsites toward the front of the Campground. It was super quiet when we were there. The hiking opportunities are awesome and most are close by. Bathhouses were dated and not heated. We would definitely stay again and hike a lot more with a detailed trail map!

For Oconee State Park: Beautiful park! Great campground for kids. We enjoyed mini golf, great hiking trails, canoeing, & swimming in the lake. They even have a dog swim area at the swim beach. We were in site 18- lake view was great but site slops downwards & mAkes it somewhat unlevel. Only big negative is NO cell service unless you are by the office & even that was spotty. My husband needed to connect to work but was unable to. They do have WiFi but u could only really use near the office.

For Oconee State Park: Nice surroundings and helpful staff. Great hiking but the trail maps aren’t very good. Good clean water and power. The bath facilities are outdated but clean enough and worked. Lots for kids to do with the nice swimming area that has lifeguards The downside of this park is the size and layout of most of the RV sites. Many sites are partially blocked with trees making access very difficult for even a smallish 25 foot trailer. Also many of the backin sites seem to be facing backwards. I wouldn’t try this place in a large trailer without first picking a site before seeing it in person without a trailer. Some of the pull thru sites near the beginning of the CG were very nice though. OTA TV ok but not real good. Cell service only at the lowest loop near the walk-in tent area. WiFi at the store was very good. Plenty of stores in Walhalla maybe 5 miles away.
