For Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area: We love this state park! We were here last year for the 1st time & couldn’t wait to come back this spring. Most sites are level with beautiful lake views. Very quiet. There is room between most sites as well so you’re not so close to your neighbor. The only caution is it is a bit remote so buy your groceries before arriving.

For Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area: We weren't sure where we wanted to stay so we called the stamp and told him we wanted a water view that wasn't far from the bathrooms. They sure picked a good spot for us. We planned to only stay one night. We ended up staying for three nights. The spaces were level even though you didn't know it until you got there because of all the driveway sloping into the spot. The campground was very quiet and even if you were close to other people and didn't seem so because of the trees. The views are outstanding and I walked down to the water and have my coffee there. We added a day (twice). We had to move to a different site because because somebody reserved our site for the weekend. On the first site, 89, the water and the electric are about 40 feet from each other. The second site was much closer. The restrooms are a bit of a walk from 93 but closer with 89. The clay reminds me of Georgia. This has to be one of our favorite campgrounds. Jim and Nonie of 2McDs

For Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area: This is a beautiful park! We arrived road weary and serendipitously got the last site available. The staff was super nice. Our site, #148, could not have been more picturesque. We would have stayed more than 1 night if Tropical Storm Bonnie hadn't rolled into SC with buckets of rain. We will be back to this park!!!!!

For Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area: This is a very large park with almost 200 campsites. We made reservations two days ago via the telephone which allowed us to stay for just one night in lieu of on line, which requires a two night stay. I chose site 39 which is a waterfront pull through and a short walk to the shower house. Very clean park and facilities. Clean heated shower house with plenty of hot water but only one shower stall. I bet there's a long wait during the season. On site 39 (pull through) the electric is on the left side but the water spigot is about 25 feet away on the right. Odd. My water hose wasn't long enough to use the water at the site. Oh well. Very, very nice roads in the park! No potholes at all. Cell coverage with Verizon LTE was three dots/bars. Nice park.

For Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area: Enjoyed this park very much. Arrived the weekend before Thanksgiving and almost had the park to our self. Only two areas were open but not many people. Majority of the sites are right on the water and have great views. The sites are very spacious and easy to fit in. Some areas do not have a comfort station close by, so choose carefully. The comfort station we used was clean and well maintained. I will stay again.
