Kim

For Kemps Kamp: This place was ok. If you like the sound of trains, this is for you. If you like to be next to a road, this is for you. If you like yellow water (probably iron the water), this is for you. If you use public restrooms and like the smell of mildew on wood, this is for you. They quoted me $45/night for electric and water and an additional $5 to use their dump station. I had asked about Good Sam discount and they said they would take 10% off. When we got there, he just gave me a total and I paid for it. There was no break down of each night. This is as much my fault as I did not ask to see the break down, but I think we paid full price. We were only there for a couple of nights.

OffIsland

For Kemps Kamp: This is a charming campground and as others have described, the babbling brook really makes the campground. And the tent sites look really nice. However we are in a big rig and it was really not a great choice. The sites that could accommodate larger rigs are tight and the trees aren’t limbed up. Our neighbors sewer was 2 feet from our picnic table. There was a pile of cig butts in our grate which makes me think they don’t check or clean sites. The facilities look tired and run down. The WiFi was great, one of the best we’ve had in a campground. It is a great location, but in an area filled with so many charming choices I’d probably look elsewhere if in a big rig.

Beverly Flach

For Kemps Kamp: We loved this camp so much we stayed an extra night just so we could relax and enjoy the peaceful setting and the bubbling brook. The site we were placed inin, 70, had shade and plenty of space for privacy. All the Creekside spots are spacious. The shower as we're great with good not water and pressure. The laundry was adequate an inexpensive. They have a clothesline so I enjoyed hanging out the sheets. Family owned and family friendly. One star down because of the extra charge for the dump.

For Kemps Kamp: Great place, very close to Mt Rushmore. Kind of tight to maneuver, but definitely accommodates my 40' 5th wheel and F250. I'm on a 50 amp hookup, under very tall trees and next to a small but wonderfully audible brook. Around $42/night for our stay. If we are in the area again, I wouldn't even look elsewhere, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
