For Smokemont Campground - Great Smoky Mountains National Park: This is a first come first serve campground in the off season. We were there mid week in early May and had no problem getting a site. Only the front A, B and C loops were open. The area was gorgeous. The bathrooms were relatively clean. There are no hookups and no showers though.

For Smokemont Campground - Great Smoky Mountains National Park: (First time using our Senior Life Pass.) Beautiful surroundings, nice, fully-paved pads. No hookups. Very decent dump station with high-quality fresh water. (Tandem stations with passing lane, so waiting is minimal.) Tip: Loop F is especially nice and generators are allowed in daytime.

For Smokemont Campground - Great Smoky Mountains National Park: I really enjoyed staying here. No hookups but water is available throughout the grounds. There's an RV dump. Flush toilets but no showers. I was able to run my generator to recharge my battery each day. It's not too far from Cherokee and shady. I didn't need air conditioning or a fan in early August. No mosquitoes either!
