For Natchez Trace RV Campground: I chose this place because of proximity to the Natchez Trace Parkway, but didn’t realize that the direct route goes under a bridge with only 11’ clearance, so I had to make a considerable detour on sketchy, flood-prone roads to get there. This is a Thousand Trails property, so you’re paying a premium price, but you are not getting a premium product. The same marginal WiFi that’s free at most parks is $6/day here. The pavement is terrible in most places and it seems they just keep lowering the speed limit rather than repairing it. They really cater to annual/permanent folks and when you make your reservation, you are not assigned an actual site. After a day of driving, transients arrive at the gate and are handed a map and told to come back to the office to let them know which sure you picked. This is the Southwest Airlines of RV parks. There weren’t that many full hookup sites (hand-marked in highlighter on the map) and we were stuck with the most un-level site I’ve ever paid to camp on. When I did get the coach leveled and connected, I found that the water pressure was so low it didn’t register on my pressure gauge. According to the office staff, who I must say were as friendly and helpful as they could be), AT&T users have full 5G service here, but I fluctuated between 0 and 2 bars on Verizon and neighbors with T-Mobile reported the same. One neighbor told me he has been a Thousand Trails member for over 30 years and stayed in dozens of their parks and this is by far the worst one. I gave it two stars only because the office staff was so good and the swimming pool is big and clean. There is a tennis court, but it needs to be mowed (it is not a grass court). We drove around the area and there are many better options for transients.

For Natchez Trace RV Campground: Thank goodness a "beach-front" site was available when we got here in our 43-foot big rig, otherwise we might have wrecked while trying to find a site in the other parts of the campground, where roads were poor and sites were tight and kind of like cliff dwellings. Verizon was a non-existent one blip of unworkable, supposedly LTE. The park wifi did work. We were able to stream a movie with only a few buffering episodes. Email and Internet worked, map apps were a bit hard to deal with though, so suggestion would be to write your departure directions down before leaving. There was a water-pressure issue while here, but no one came with a boil-water notice, even though it was black-ish for a while. We just ran the water on the ground for a while after we noticed it in the toilet bowl. Thankfully, we keep a small supply of water in a pitcher for cuppas and such. Otherwise, our site was very quiet and enjoyable. We did park under a streetlight, but at least we did not need to turn lights on in the bathroom at night.

For Natchez Trace RV Campground: Our favorite campground ever. Immaculate bathrooms, friendly staff. Great pool, wonderful swimming beach, canoe and kayak rentals, dog park, mini golf, walking/running track. We loved everything about it!! Stayed a month and would absolutely stay again.

For Natchez Trace RV Campground: Place was not customer oriented and shoddy. . I’ll not even try to stay in another Thousand Trails park or buy a membership. The park does not answer their phone. I called many times over a 3 week period. Access off Natchez Trace Parkway had an 11’ underpass. We couldn’t figure out how to get there. We called the emergency line. No answer; mailbox was full. We stayed elsewhere. Went back without 5th wheel the next day and checked in. A guest in line told me someone has scooped out a dip off the road so higher clearance vehicles could get under. This was not marked. You had to be told. We drove through the place looking for a space. Drove by tennis courts that had cracking uneven pavement, roads were potholed or gravel over the deteriorating asphalt, deferred maintenance was everywhere. Good sites were taken, many by long term guests. This first come first served policy is ridiculous We could not find a decent spot. I got the membership free with my trailer purchase so there was no cost to us. Never returned the check in form They had no idea where we were and didn’t contact. Stayed down the road.

For Natchez Trace RV Campground: We selected full hookup site #70 in the phase 2 section. The rickety electrical box looked like it was built in the 1970's and we had to tap it a few times to actually get power. So we dropped our jacks, put out the slideouts and thought that all was well. Then around 6:00pm the electricity died for good. I called the office and of course nobody was there. Turns out that there is an after hours emergency phone number, but it is posted way back at the ranger station. Would it kill these people to print this number on the map? Other campgrounds do this routinely so it should be a no-brainer. Luckily we were able to move a few sites down and complete our setup again prior to sunset. The next day I explained the situation to a ranger station employee and suggested that they block off site #70 so no guests try to enter until the electrical box is fixed. She agreed enthusiastically and said that maintenance would be contacted right away. Well...they never blocked the site and the box remained in shoddy condition for the next week. The staff here really needs to try harder! Anyway the park itself is spacious and includes a recreation office, lodge and store. The phase 2 section men's bathrooms & showers were dirty and in dire need of immediate renovation. My wife said that the women's side was ok. Couldn't program any over the air TV channels at our site and my AT&T phone had zero bars. Paid $14.95 for 1 week of wifi and it was surprisingly good. YouTube even worked ok. We enjoyed biking down to the 50 amp RV section near the boat launch at the lake. Pool near the campground entrance seemed to be in good shape but we didn't try it. There is also a running track. WARNING: Make sure to approach this campground from the south on Hwy 241/Napier road as there is a low clearance 11 foot bridge just to the north. Be careful!

For Natchez Trace RV Campground: Stayed in beach area with full hookups. Roads weren’t as bad as expected based on some reviews, but could use some improvement. Amenities were closed due to Covid. But they have a pool, playground and game room normally. Liked the park fine, but no Verizon signal is a definite negative. I would stay here again, but wish they could figure out a way for better cell coverage.

For Natchez Trace RV Campground: This place is really a trailer park. If you're not permanent resident there, your options are very poor. A concrete pad that might have had a table at one time. Water and electric ok but unlevel and nothing else. Avoid it!
