For KOA Holiday Pigeon Forge: Sorry the restrooms are atrocious. You have separate shower area and then you have to pack up your stuff and walk to the next building to blow dry your hair. They have the restroom and the shower totally separated. And of course you don't know when you finish your shower whether the restroom is going to be open so you can put on your makeup and blow dry your hair. Could be spontaneously closed for cleanup. That's what happened to me. The other showers by the office are better since they had the sinks and the showers together. But the shower head is about 4 feet off the ground so you have to bend over to take a shower. Also when using the toilet area when you open the door you have to walk behind the toilet to close the door. Very frustrating experience

For KOA Holiday Pigeon Forge: Low on privacy, practically non existent. High on activities for family. Very clean showers and restrooms. It was our first trip with our 6yo and she had a great time swimming, playing on playground and bounce floor.

For KOA Holiday Pigeon Forge: Second stay at this KOA in the past year. Stayed in the new "premium" sites both times.

While I would probably stay here again, I wouldn't stay in the premium sites near the main road. The first time we stayed we were a few sites away from the road and noise was just bearable. This time we were assigned a site that sits about 15 feet off Veterans Parkway, a major 4 lane thoroughfare. The road noise kept us up most of the night and woke us up early morning. There were two vacant sites away from the road when we arrived but the office staff would not allow us to have either one of them. It's hard to believe they charge a premium price for sites so close to a busy street and its associated noise.

Second issue was they decided to do some maintenance at 6:30 PM and shut the power off to us and our neighbors for about 10 minutes. It would have been nice to be informed this was about to happen because I was in the middle of cooking our dinner in the microwave. I thought I had blown a fuse and started trying to troubleshoot our RV. I had to go looking for a staff member to find out why our power was out. When the power was restored I then had to figure out how long I needed to continue cooking our entree as I didn't know how long it had been cooking before the power was shut off without any notice to us.

The positives are that the campground is kept clean, the staff is pleasant, the pool area is good size with a splash area for kids and there are activities to kids busy. There is a new cafe in the camp ground called Sweet Mamas and I would recommend it. The campground is next to Veterans Park and an easy walk to the Old Mill restaurant and shopping area. One caveat is the playground is surfaced with gravel which is surprising from a safety standpoint. During this time we stayed the campground was at full capacity but it never seemed too crowded.

I'd stay here again only if I could get a space away from the road.
