For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: Loved the RGV Campgrounds. The grounds have bathrooms with running water and flushing toilets. There is a little room attached to the bathrooms with a dish pit to wash your dishes and drinking water spouts throughout the grounds. There are plenty of dumpsters for trash and recylings and Bear bins for storing your food. We did see a Javelina scavenging through the campgrounds so we highly recommend using those Bear Bins for your food storage and we heard coyotes one night. We stayed in the No Generator Zone so it was pretty quite and there is no cell service here unless you go to the RGV store, they have free Wifi and coin operated laundry but their showers are closed due to Covid-19. There is a Nature Trail that starts from the campground that we LOVED! It leads you to a cute little sandy area by the river, or you can take another trail up onto a hill with perfect views of the sunset. This trail is very easy, we saw people of all ages. Other trails are near by that you can drive to with parking spots, we highly recommend Boquillas Trail. Our Camp Host Suzanne, she was so nice and friendly. For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: Nice campground in the park. No hookups. We are 40ft 5W & found plenty of spots to accommodate us. Beware of where you go because you don’t want to get in the “no generator” section when you’re as big as us. It had gotten dark & we had some tree issues but made it out ok. Just beware! Zero cell service!

For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: We luckily got a spot for our 38’ 5er. Most sits are very small and don’t accommodate large RVs! There are no hookups but water spigots close by to refill tanks or jugs. Located right on the Rio Grande with beautiful sunsets on the mountains overlooking the valley. The camp hosts were great and very helpful! No cell service at all!! But the grocery/gas store nearby has WiFi. Stayed here in March.

For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: Good campground, although we prefer the eastern-most section which is mainly for tents/small campers and has more trees. Also, no generators allowed in that section. Basically, you're farther from the camp store but closer to the nature trail. Bathrooms are OK, and showers are located at camp store. We had no problem finding a first come first serve site over MLK weekend in January.

For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: Very nice NP Campground. Generators are permitted in part of the campground during the day. Sites located on the small loops on perimeter have the most privacy. Bathrooms have recently been tiled and freshly painted.

Vespagirl

For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: Note that there are two campgrounds at Rio Grande Village: one is an asphalt parking lot; this review is for the other campground, which is cheaper, but has less services. This campground stays considerably cooler, which is something you might want to think about. Convenient bathrooms, attentive campground hosts, and great views. Again, know what you are paying for. This campground has some sites which are not perfectly level. Two nice hiking trails leave from the campground: one is a very short nature trail with some elevation, the other is a very long trail to the hot springs.

polanna

For Rio Grande Village Campground - Big Bend National Park: Ditto January 2016 review. However the rate in late February was $14 Per night, $7 for seniors. The park was very popular while we were here for two nights and much drier then it was when we were here two years ago in April.
