For Fort Clark Springs Camping World: I tent-camped here during a ten day bike tour of the Hill Country. For bike/tent campers, the park host gives you a couple of options: You can camp on the lawn just outside of the main office or camp just down the street at Commanche Park which is prettier, has better tree cover, and has bathrooms and water but fewer amenities. Either option was only $12. I chose to stay on the lawn at the RV Park because there's a laundry room ($1 to wash and $1 to dry), a cozy day room with a microwave, and nice clean bathrooms with hot showers. The RV campers in the park and the host were both helpful and kind. There was also a nice big white cat who lives on the porch. I biked to the spring-fed pool (which is about 1 mile away) and jumped in. It's the third-largest in Texas and the water is 68 degrees year-round. I slept well here and would drop back in if I find myself out near Bracketville again.

For Fort Clark Springs Camping World: I stopped one night on January 9, 2020 in my truck camper going from Padre Island to Big Bend. It seemed about half way and had full service for $21.00. They have full time front gate staff so more security than most campgrounds. I was asked if I had a pass and I said I had called ahead to the RV park and got permission. I got a pass and was let in. Big complex which I will not attempt to describe. Full service, plenty of spots ample room on most sites. Only two showers a little old but clean. Staff very friendly excellent overnight. One thing do not trust your google maps app it went me to the back entrance which is closed! It was a dusty and twisty road. The staff said this happens all the time and is traumatic for big rigs. The entrance is right off the highway on 131 so call ahead if you are unsure. Good Verizon reception I did not use the WIFI.

For Fort Clark Springs Camping World: A little crowded and small sites but still great.
