For Main - Inks Lake State Park: Nice park, good lake, great trails, HOWEVER, the cost of entry is deceptive and expensive. There is the camping fee as expected, there is also a daily use fee per person added at $6 and a per vehicle fee of $6.00 per diem. In other words the cost for an rv with towed vehicle and two people is $24 on top of the camping fees. Be aware as this is not easily found n their information, and as previously noted their enforcement personnel notice any discrepancy and are quick to write a warning ticket.

For Main - Inks Lake State Park: This park has some exceptionally nice campsites right on the water. Even with a couple hundred sites, it doesn't seem crowded because most sites are well spaced. We were here mid-week in February, and there were lots of unoccupied spaces. However, based on the wear and tear at the sites, you can tell this park gets lots of use. Plenty to do here (kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking). The little comvenience store is well stocked, but bathrooms are few and far between. Great Verizon 4G and cell signal, but lousy over the air TV reception.

Daschunds Abound.

For Main - Inks Lake State Park: We've been here three times in the past two months. It's close to home (near Austin), yet far enough away to feel like a getaway. We have a 28' TT and site 79 and 80 (80, using the overflow parking for the truck) were decent and easy to level. 79 was by far the easiest. 81 was too tight and we could not put out the awning, with one slide out. All in all, it's a beautiful park and friendly staff. 76 is a nice pull through and 210 looked promising but we didn't stay in either of those yet. Hope this helps you.

For Main - Inks Lake State Park: Too many people but oh well. It was okay but checkin is a pain. They want you to pick a site without looking at it. I don't like that. Sites are narrow. Some are much better than others and you don't know that at the front. Tons of birds!

For Main - Inks Lake State Park: One of the nicest state parks in the area. Sites are large, clean and quiet. The park is well maintained and offers a variety of activities for all ages.

DLA

For Main - Inks Lake State Park: Large grassy sites. We were here late April and the wildflower were spectacular. Nice hikes in the park as well as kayak and paddle boats for rent. Bird watching great fun Waterfront site made it a great stay for us. Check out the Texas state park pass
