For Cedar Hill State Park: Beautiful state park, but beware the tiny sugar ants (you'll be warned about them when you check in). Yes, we got some in our camper despite precautions. But the park is simply lovely -- and popular. It's right next to Dallas/Ft. Worth and we spent a very enjoyable afternoon in the Bishop Historic District in Dallas. Park is quiet at night. There's air traffic, but it's not intrusive. It was very warm and humid, even for the beginning of October (hey, that's the area). A previous reviewer mentioned waiting in line to get in, we did not experience that at all. No pull-through sites but we managed to get our 40' 5'er into a back-in spot with some coaching from a helpful passer-by (we're verrrrrry slooowly getting better at backing in, with the operative word being "slowly"). We did not use any of the facilities as we're fully self-contained and were only there overnight. Anyway, enjoyed the stay and can recommend it.

For Cedar Hill State Park: Nice park. However, it has a few issues. 1) You have to wait in line every time you come into the park. During high traffic stress you might wait for people to check in 20minutes or so just to be waved on when you get there. 2) highway noise However, other than that it’s good. We didn’t have any issues but we were here in March.

For Cedar Hill State Park: This is an awesome State Park, they did warn us about ants and told us what to put out. We never saw any ants and the spaces have trees between them for some privacy. The showers and bathrooms were clean and seemed to be checked every morning and this was in December. Has a great mountain bike trail with hiking trails all over. Ceases Hills is only about 2 miles away with everything you need big Walmart, all kinds of eating places really nice place. Just a short drive to Dallas or Ft Worth depending on traffic of course, we did one day in Dallas and one day in Ft Worth. Make the trip to the Ft Worth stockyards we had a great time there. The staff were wonderful, we would love to go back.

For Cedar Hill State Park: Park needs lots of repairs. And the ant problem is pretty bad. They don’t bite but will get inside you’re camper. Bike trails are closed every time it even lightly rains. Only good aspect is the park is located in middle of city. Good if you’re visiting friends.

Kevin

For Cedar Hill State Park: No cable, no laundry, really dirty bathroom and showers.
Since the flood in June you can add: no fishing, no beach, no marina, no resturaunt.
The worst part is they are still charging $30.00 per site plus $5.00 per person per day. $45.00 per day at a state park!! I have never paid that much for so little. We love staying at state parks just not this one.
Stayed late July 2016 in a 36 ft class A.

Melinda

For Cedar Hill State Park: Overpriced for having no access to the water and the bathroom and showers are infested with cockroaches and scorpions. Was probably nice before the flood but now it's just a mess.

For Cedar Hill State Park: We stayed here on a Monday night so we almost had the park to ourselves, wonderful. The park does have full hookups and 20/30/50 amp service tho this app does not reflect that. Each site has plenty of room and many have privacy due to the mesquite trees. Sun rises and sunsets can be spectacular, hey, it's Texas naturally. Walking early to view sunrise observed a rabbit eating and also a bobcat looking for a rabbit to eat. Sites are paved but can require a little leveling which surprised me. Definitely good one to return to.
