City Fair Park - Childress

$15 drop box, stayed one night. Lovely park and trail and pretty covered bridge. Quiet, bullfrog noises,and birds. Public park bathroom across the park, a little run down but flushing toilets and lit. Two other campers pulled in. Good experience!

Nice place. Lots of trains blowing horns.

As another stated, excellent find for an overnight.will definitely remain on my list of stops on this route I take a couple times a year.

Best kept secret on Allstays. Arrived about 6:45 pm in July 2024. 3 of the 5 sites were taken. For $15 you get 30/50a and water. No smdump station. Off main highway US 287 and is great for an overnight stop!

Nothing special but quiet and cheap. Each night it was full by later in the evening. Strong and fast Verizon 5G. Pay by cash or check (I guess, the sign isn’t clear, I put in a check). I didn’t internet through the main gate. It just because of the arch but also the crosswise road is a drainage road and I couldn’t drive straight across to the gate. I went to the next entrance over to the left and it was fine. If there was a large sporting event it might have been more challenging to use the entrance I used.

NOTE: Arch at main entrance to City Fair Park is quoted by city employee to have 16 foot clearance. Alternative entrance down street, but must wind through park a bit.

Great park, super clean, easy access felt very safe. Will definitely stay here again!

As others have said, cute, well kept park. $15.00 with 30/50A and water, no dump. 5 spots, all back in with plenty of room to maneuver. Train noise throughout the night is the only reason we won’t stay here again. We’ve been in noisy places before (we have both slept on aircraft carriers), but the 4am train that went through was beyond loud. Love the park, but we’ll skip it next time. Enter park at Commerce and I Ave, stay to the right and spots are by the picnic tables.

Our second time to stay here. Nice city park with good walking trail around the fishing pond. $15 E/W & 3 night limit. Softball games going on so be aware of some stray balls.

Great for $15.00. Nice park and lake. No games scheduled in the baseball field because of Covid 19. No dump station nearby.
