For Governors Landing Campground - Amistad National Rec Area: This is actually a very nice overnight. Several water spigots available. Pretty view. Shelters over the picnic tables. Pulled in here today. Free and delightful.

For Governors Landing Campground - Amistad National Rec Area: This spot was very noisy. Lots of truck and train traffic. It seems this used to be a nice park but has since been abandoned . Power is off but there is still water. Park has become overgrown and neglected. Would try the other ones in this area.

For Governors Landing Campground - Amistad National Rec Area: A little noisy, but quieter and nicer than a highway rest area for an overnight. Views of the Amistad Reservoir and access to water level. Self-service registration, $8 or $4 with senior national park pass.

John

For Governors Landing Campground - Amistad National Rec Area: Few pull thrus for 30'+ or those with a toad.
VERY noisy as right next to Rt.90 which apparently is a major truck route. Trafic lessened after 10 pm. Level sites are in first left at top of park. Others sites below are mostly not level and will take a lot of of your levelers.
No host on host site when we were are there.
No threaded water faucets (except host site) you'll need a "water-thief" or you might secure a site and then go down to Daiblo East where there is potable water at dump station.
No dump....dump is a Diablo East about 3 miles east on 90 (there is no camping at Diablo East it is a boat launch facility)
