For Highview Park: Stayed one night. The campsite was spacious and had shade. We had a beautiful view of the lake and could walk down to it from our site (22). The roads were not in very good shape. Did not use public facilities so opinion there.

Drew

For Highview Park: Facilities were unusable. Some RV sites had steep declines (front to back). Management was nice, but had the tendency to make you sit at the entrance while they chatted with park ranger. Gate closes inbound at 10 pm. You will have to walk in to your site if you arrive after that.

Buffalo Jim

For Highview Park: Grounds need mowing....I know that there has been a lot of rain lately and hopefully this is the reason for the lack of attention to the upkeep of the grass. Had 2 porta potties and the bathrooms were out of order....sign on doors were faded, which indicates that they have been out for a while.

For Highview Park: Stayed in site 16 with good shade trees and right on the water. High view marina got new owners on 3/1/14. They currently cannot do fishing licenses but are working on it. People were lined up to go after crappie and we saw many catfishing from the bank. Bluebonnets are coming out already. Be careful of news that the rest of the COE parks on the lake are closing temporarily as of April 1. Better check before heading down there.
