Easterday

For Hapgood RV Park: Nice little camp ground. We stayed one night on our way west. $15 dollars for FHU is hard to beat. The place had three open spots when we got there and one of them the power was out of order, we took one and the last spot filled about twenty minutes later. Most of the spots are taken by construction workers that pulled in and went to bed. It is next to the highway so you get a little noise from that and the train runs in the distance but neither one of them were a problem. Seen the Deputy drive through a couple times so all was great. We were in a 36' motorhome with a Jeep in tow.

For Hapgood RV Park: Hapgood RV Park, is a city park with twelve $15/night, FHU sites; 3 of the sites (Sites 4, 5, 6) have 50 amp. All sites are pull-thrus, with level, gravel pads, separated by grass strips. No shade or bathrooms; there is a bin for garbage. No OTA, good Verizon coverage. The park is NOT at 101 N. Main Street (that is the Henrietta town officed)! The RV sites are part of the Hapgood Park, both are on Spur 510 near the intersection of City Park Road and Spur 510.

JamuJoe

For Hapgood RV Park: Great convenience and value for a one night stopover. Clean level gravel sites with good spacing. Full hookups for $15! Empty land behind. Road noise and an occasional train not really a bother. One other unit here on a Saturday night in November. Strong Verizon. Thank you Henrietta!

StoffQuest

For Hapgood RV Park: Clean and safe for an overnight stay. Nothing really to see but it’s better than a Walmart parking lot

DavesTX

For Hapgood RV Park: This is a site used for construction workers doing piping for a few weeks stay or people who need full hookups for up to seven days per the rules. Pay at the iron ranger or at the town hall, $15 a night. It is wide open with no wind breaks. I stayed through a severe thunderstorm and it felt like I was standing in an open field. The wind is constant 5 to 15 miles per hour, so no use of an awning. In my previous stays I met people who bought an rv down the street and were just testing it out for a night. You will be alone and the town is small with only a few things to see, such as the old jail. There are 5 baseball fields so the townspeople come and go during game season. Across the street is cattle area and you can hear the coyotes howl at night. The ballfield restrooms are only open in the warm weather but there are shelters and barbecue stands available across the park near the picnic tables. I like to boondock so this was OK for me to rest a week, recharge and repair. Not a family destination, but a good waystation for shelter before crossing the Texas panhandle. Only one small auto store in town and diesel is available. The Sweet shoppe in town offers a good home cooked meal at a good price and the laundry in town is very clean and completely maintained.

Gary

For Hapgood RV Park: Adequate for a stop-over. Gravel roads and gravel sites with no potholes. Easy access after going under a 14' railroad underpass but our coach is 12'10" and even the radio antenna didn't hit anything. There are 12 full hookup sites with a little grass between so they're not too close for comfort and are mostly level and mostly 30 amp. Some utility connections are in the middle, handy for Motorhomes and some are in the very back, better for trailers. We found one site with inoperative electricity and one with 50 amp that worked. Self-register for $15.00 per night. No staff, no office, no amenities. The restrooms at the baseball fields about 100 yards away might be available.
