Tent camping only as of 2022!! Stayed here multiple times in the past however city council passed a new ordinance that prohibits RV's or sleeping in your car.

No more RV Overnight parking allowed, only tents. Very sad, this was a great spot.

We have stayed here several times over the past few years. It is our first day of travel spot and is perfect. We just stayed January and February 2022 going and coming on a month long trip. We always buy gas and have even bought food many times. I am SO disappointed in finding out that it has closed. These people that leave their trash and empty tanks onto the ground near a River just need to stay home. Shame on them and shame on them for ruining one of my favorite stopover sites. 😡

We've stayed here before and it's great BUT just heard from fellow RVers that this park was just CLOSED permanently (as of March 2022) because people abused the park with trash and dumping of grey and black tanks. How sad!!!!

Best surprise of our two week trip to S TX. Plenty of place to park, access to fresh water, large fire pits, picnic tables, pavilions, flat road and trees lit up for Christmas. This place made up for our 2 prepaid Hip camp fails where our RV couldn’t make the rough terrain. We too grabbed BBQ at Lums, found a flat site near grass for the dogs and enjoyed the town’s friendly people and hospitality. Will stay here again.

Spent the night on our way to Arizona. Nice little park along river, not really any designated sites, five other rv's when we were there. Bathrooms were locked,no water otherwise nice, would stay again.

It’s a free park that allows both tents and RV’s. It’s along the South Llano River with no designated spots or signs. Lots of traffic through the park but otherwise quiet with a handful of other guests. I didn’t come for the amenities but I’ve heard they’re decent with a playground, basketball courts and bathrooms that night be questionable. But FREE and easy to find.

Pro: free! Con: no electricity. It was hot! Also, no designated campsites, so we weren't really sure if we should camp where we did. This looks like a great park for kids. Felt a little uncomfortable camping right by where people drive by, and so close to the playground. But you really can't beat free. I've paid for much worse places.

Sadly, this park is closed for the foreseeable future. We pulled I on Oct. 14 and found that a massive flash flood had devastated the park destroying several RVs and leaving five people dead or missing. The two women we met there told us the story then referred us to the North Llano RVPark where we were welcomed and spent a peaceful but troubled night given what we had just witnessed. North Llano gets the five star review.

Nice city/county park on the Llano River. Lots of activity on Sunday afternoon with familys having a great time. Quiet when it got dark. Police drive through which is always a good thing. Easy to find a large level site right on the bank of the river.
