For Ratcliff Lake NF Campground: Beautiful park with great trails. The Forest Service people are onsite and very helpful. This should be registered as a Dark Sky park. Unbelievable stars. Like stated before, sites are spread out. The tent sites are beautiful. The CCC buildings are pretty cool too.

For Ratcliff Lake NF Campground: Nice large sites which are very well spaced apart for privacy. No sewer hookups. Nice swimming area for the kids.

For Ratcliff Lake NF Campground: Very nice, no complaints. Beautiful camp ground. Everything worked fine. Never saw the hosts, but made reservation online and when we arrived the was a reserved tag on our site giving name and dates. A little road noise, but quiet in the evenings. Definitely a come back to place. Lufkin is close and would have most everything you might need. Stayed with a 31' 5th wheel.

For Ratcliff Lake NF Campground: Fantastic forested campground < 30 minutes from Lufkin (which has all the stores you'd need). We spent a week here in our 34' Avion trailer. Infrastructure is a little old but they keep the showers/bathrooms clean and running and the power on. Wonderful trails and nice swimming area for the kids. Firewood plentiful. Dark sky at night. Verizon and AT&T both 20Mbps, no sprint service. They even added recycling bins while we were there.
Some noise from the nearby highway 7 but nothing I could hear inside the camper.

For Ratcliff Lake NF Campground: This is a great little campground. The electric-only sites can be hard to get into with bigger rigs, but doable.
This is an older campground needing some maintenance on infrastructure (not a deal breaker for us), so bring plenty of leveling blocks and water hose.
The tent-only areas are nice, too, and by the water.
Restrooms are clean with hot showers and flush toilets.
The camp hosts are great!
We stayed here in Dec '15 and Jan '16 in a 30' 5th wheel.
