Judy Lonning

For Wilderness Lakes RV Resort: We stayed in late September 2023 for a few days. The park is quiet, clean, and scenic. Sites are well spaced with trees for shade. Staff was friendly and helpful. A walking trail, pool, paddle boats, frisbee, and golf chipping were available. Location is across from the dam and State Park. I will definitely stay here again.

Roaming Caroline

For Wilderness Lakes RV Resort: We stayed here 2 weeks in February 2019. This campground is a bit far from Corpus Christi and the beaches, but is worth the stay. Very friendly campers, very helpful staff, 3 miles of hiking trails, roomy campsites. But don’t use AllStays to connect with your map program. It takes you into the local State Park down a single lane dirt road! I notified AllStays but see that it hasn’t been updated. We will stay here again. It was a great place to meet up with my brother from the other coast.

Roaming Larry

For Wilderness Lakes RV Resort: Wonderful RV Park. Big pull-through spaces, nice activity center, friendly people. Activity calendar the two weeks we were there included Super Bowl Party, line dance lessons and much more. Many long term residents use golf carts to get around. Will return next year for a longer stay.

Barnacles

For Wilderness Lakes RV Resort: Beautiful resort, salt water pool, free fishing lakes, free paddle boats, kayak. Large mostly pull thru sites with 50/30 amp pedestals. One reviewer said they allow criminals, that’s ridiculous. They have signs prohibiting open carry of weapons but you can have whatever you want in your rig. Everyone, guests and staff, were very friendly. They had good free WiFi in the clubhouse and pay as you go WiFi at the sites; I think it was $19.95 per month. Two very clean laundry rooms. Very dog friendly with a very large dog park...they even let our dog inside the office where he received a treat. Lots of biking and hiking trails. We will definitely return and recommend it to our friends.

Hullgardener

For Wilderness Lakes RV Resort: Looks like a nice campground but didn't feel safe since they welcome criminals. The is a no gun policy that they advertise. This is Texas for crying out loud! Would never stay here.
